Hey if I started the palumbo diet and had 6 hours a day to do cardio 6 or 7 days a week would i be looking at some crazy extreme fat loss? or would that be to much stress on the body and it would start leeching muscle?
low intensity cardio btw and maybe split up into 3 2 hour sessions?
What do u guys think?

6 hours a day?!?!? I thought I read that incorrectly at first. The most I've ever heard of is 2 hours on Dave's diet - and that's near the end. Do 6 hours if you want to replace Lance Armstrong on the Tour de France.

the diet will work with no cardio for quite a while. Cardio should only be added extreme when your fat loss slows down. and 6 hours is ridiculus your not doing it hard enough or else you would be so deprived you wouldnt leave bed the next day

At my advanced age the cardio is sadly a necessity. I'm @ 2 hours a day after 12 weeks of slowly increasing it and it's still not enough. I could probably go to a third cardio session. It sucks to be me.
That said, 2+ hours of cardio is obscene and unnecessary unlesss you are a 40 plus year old fat man who has already been dieting for 3 f'ing months.

LOL 6 hours of cardio?
Win the lottery and need something to do? I dont see how anyone could work that into their schedule.

Depending on size, that's ~3000-4000 cals burned in cardio alone. Why?

Yeah i meant 6 hours a day everyday. I am not even on that diet i was just wondering if i should be and then do that right now i am just general eating healthy lots of protein dropping my weight 2-3 lbs per week. 1% bf loss and i just want to lose more than that since my schedule is so free right now. I am just leaning down now cause i never need to bulk i pack on muscle as easy as can be. but i dont want to go over 210 lbs @ 8% bf

If you can last more than a week doing 6 hours of cardio/day then I'll get L3 to suck your dick.

I was not joking at all. If it is really low intensity cardio i can manage 6 hours a day spread into a few sessions no problem i was just wondering if it would be good or not because i was thinking that muscle loss would be a big problem. I have 14 hours a day to train atm and i feel like i am not doing enough with just 1 weight session and 2 cardio sessions a day.

Do you mean my current workout program for 16-20 weeks? That would be overkill I am natural and have to take a week off every 6th week or else I get over trained. And you are quite right I have only been back to lifting for a month seriously and am still gung ho. There is no way i am training like a pussy I put my whole gym to shame while i am working out (intensity wise) Sure some guys are lifting heavier but then they go and talk to there pals for 5 mins between all there sets. I am doing a circuit training program as my goal is to get to 8-10 % bf before I switch back to heavy lifting.
You can still train heavy and drop bf .

Its also my understanding that if you're doing a circuit style of training , assuming you're doing entire body , that is a form (so to speak) of cardio also.....

The prefered way to train on a palumbo diet is high intensity low volume, the exact opposite of circuit training. But hey, maybe you`re onto something?

Well i was just wondering about the palumbo diet in general. Cause i am trying to find way to drop the weight a bit quicker instead of being patient and sticking it out the full 8 weeks that it will probably take. Yeah the circuit training is for sure cardio. It is about an hour and a half or so of ball busting work followed by 2 30 min hiit sessions. I have enough information now that I will not be doing the palumbo diet, i will just stick with my 50% pro 30% carb and 20% fats (roughly) until it stops working then maybe change it up as the body fat is single digits. Thanks for the help on this everyone.

"The whole 8 weeks". You can't even begin to understand how funny that phrase is. Stick with the program. It works.

so you can't be patient enough to achieve your goal in 8 weeks? yikes. total opposite of what you should be doing in my mind. you'd be better off dieting it off for 8 months to be honest. 6 hours of cardio a day? yikes again....
