View Full Version : How does google Earth work?

Ok just looked up my place and it was pics taken in the summer and im outside in them????????

Like seriously WTF....im outside running the bbq and i remember that exactly and there was NO CARS even close to me that day and the pics look like they were taken 10 feet or so off the ground?

How in the do they do this shit cause IMHO it's cool and FREAKY at the same time:shock:shock:shock

Satellite takes continuous pictures of earth as it turns, but most of google earth is old. Unless its like a popular place (Las Vegas, Melbourne and Victoria, and Cambridge) Pretty cool stuff.

They have google street view cars that drive around with cameras ontop of them. They take pictures as they drive.

LOL i did this a couple years ago and all I could see was my dog outside in the back yard. But then the last trip I drove home I passed a older guy driving a car with a big sign on top that said google maps...........was kinda cool to see that they actually drive around to make e right maps.
