thank you gymbrat, declan and sean summers. I appreciate the replies. also LondonMuscle has pointed out to me that I have posted the pics sideways and for that I apoligize. to say I am computer illiterate would be an understatement. I will make sure to post future pictures right side up.

Thanks SS, pics look much better upright!

Reinforcements started at 215 hes a bit under 190 right now and coming in really fast, had to up his cals this week a bit. He had a ton of muscle before he started prepping and is holding onto everything really well. Pleasure to work with, no probs with hard work at all.

ya dude, you're a beast for sure. LM obviously knows what he is doing with his diet prep, and it looks like you're not afraid of hard work.

pretty drastic transformation to say the least. i hope i can achieve similar results.

reinforcements
28-03-2010, 10:49 AM
thank you laslo101 for the kind words. #8 there is no doubt in my mind that if you follow what LM lays out for you, you will achieve your full potential.

L3
28-03-2010, 01:26 PM
lots of wide grip pullups, too many bent rows, the average seated row with a close grip...nothing fancy...oh yeah and 0 deadlifts, unless you count SLDLs

reinforcements
28-03-2010, 01:36 PM
cool, well keep at it. you plan to compete anytime soon?

bigtavi8
28-03-2010, 01:55 PM
Hey reinforcements thats great that your doing Missisauga. what an amazing transformation in the last couple months. What class you looking to hit up. Just going to diet hard and end up where ya end up or do you have a specific class in mind your shooting for.

reinforcements
28-03-2010, 02:23 PM
Hey BigTavi, thanks for the kind words and I plan to be near the top of the middles.

steve_d
28-03-2010, 06:18 PM
middle goes up to 187. are you 190 already? Might actually make it to top end of light middle. You'd be an insane light middle I think

natenator
28-03-2010, 06:19 PM

deadlifts were on your plan...

reinforcements
28-03-2010, 07:19 PM
I don't believe there is a light middle at this show but yes according to the bao sit, light middle is right where I would like to be

steve_d
28-03-2010, 07:22 PM
yeah, all the OPA shows should have all weight classes now. Things changes a little this year with the new system. Since all shows qualify you for provincials, and since there are less shows, they "should" have all classes.

I hope the shows still have the people to make good sized weight classes in all weight classes though

LondonMuscle
28-03-2010, 07:49 PM
I have no idea how the weight classes are going to work this year. I know what OPA announced but I still find it hard to believe they will get enough competitors in the right distributions to be able to have as many classes as they plan to.

Either way, just come in the best shape you can and you fall where you fall!

reinforcements
28-03-2010, 08:09 PM
I am simply just excited to compete, and regardles of what I weigh I just want to be in the best condition possible. according to the poster for the show though light-middle isn't posted as a category physiqueassociation.ca/node/69

steve_d
28-03-2010, 09:44 PM
you're right...Other shows seem to be following that too. Oh well. Looks like I will be one light ass middle weight!

Korilon
29-03-2010, 02:39 PM
As of Dec 2009 from OPA site:

Regional & Provincial

Bantam Weight (under 143 lbs)
Light Weight (over 143 to 154 lbs)
Welter Weight (over 154 to 165 lbs)
Light Middle (166 to 176 lbs)
Middle Weight (over 176 to 187 lbs)
Light Heavy (over 187 to 198) lbs)
Heavy Weight (over 198 to 220 lbs)
Super Heavy Weight (over 220 lbs)

steve_d
29-03-2010, 02:46 PM
Time will tell. The new OPA system is too new to know exactly what will happen. Perhaps the entry forms are just going by past shows, or perhaps they will qualify you based on what your weight would have put you in, but they will still judge you within the classes they mention on posters or websites for the individual contest. doesn't really matter to me. I can't make lightweight, and I won't look good unless I am under 165, so it doesn't matter I suppose.

Mind if I ask what your starting was?

I think I had recorded your starting weight at 215 :)

We're not even weighing in anymore, we figure there is less than 5 pounds to get in contest shape at this point so gonna start dropping off the cardio and adding in more carbs

show time is fast approaching!

I must take the time to mention that LondonMuscle's dedication to preparing me for this show has far exceeded any expectations I had of him. The man has a true passion for this sport, and truly cares for the athletes he trains. Big thank you to him, I plan to continue to progress under his guidance for quite some time.

And thanks for the shout out reinforcements. Trust me its easier to give instructions than it is to take them, haha I know I couldnt! Glad you are satisfied

Just a bit of info on the prep this far... conditioning was coming in so fast, basically in contest shape now and ramping up the cals, carbs and dropping off cardio going into the show... if you are lucky enough to do this, imo its optimal

LondonMuscle
23-04-2010, 09:41 PM
id also like to add there is a ton of nutrition in this diet... 8 cups of veggies per day plus several servings of vege greens!

certainly came it shredded. I think for next show u should do some deep squats and build up those hams and glutes. will make a big diff as u move up the competitive ladder.

thanks for the advice, that tip must just not work for me though. I wrote the definition on deep squats. I wipe my ass with gym floor every rep. guess I'll have to find another way to bring them up.

single leg leg presses going as deep as possible (knee to chin), barbell lunges, good mornings and glute ham raises will definitely help!

I've been doing lots of single leg leg presses...It wasn't for that reason, but because of an injury. I would have to agree that it has helped though since my legs have improved the most of all bodyparts despite the injury.

Well i think I read ur only like 22 or 24 or something. COnsider I am 10 years older. I had no muscle when I was ur age so jsut give it time, 6 months of deep squts is not enough. 6 years will help alot. Gettgin ultra lean also make the glutes look smaller and legs shrink alot more when ur doing tuns of the wrong kind of cardio to get ripped (not that u are or anything).Try adding sumo deadlifts to bulk up those hams as well ud be surprised the freaky amount of mass u can add on with sumo's.
