I think so , but I don't know the whole story :)

The two guys getting kicked probably deserved it, considering there's a dude lying unconscious in front of the store. Regardless, it's still excessive force, and that cop should not be wearing a badge. I sincerely hope he's dismissed from the force.

Looks a bit excessive, but what started all this?? I'm sure if anything all he'll get is a talking to.

From what I can tell, they were breaking up a fight. A bunch of guys ganged up on one guy and were kicking him when he was down.

Cops came in and busted it up, started arresting people.

One cop has a dude on the ground, cop in yellow moseys on over and kicks him.

Some guy comes up to the cop in yellow, says something to him and he then yells at some guy on the grass to get on the ground. He does. Then another cop comes over to him and wrestles him to the ground (wtf). Dude's drunk, tries to crawl away so cop in yellow kicks him with his shiny steel toed shoe in the stomach and/or chest. Dude that's kicked is writhing in agony and is having a difficult time putting his arms behind his back while the other prick I mean cop is trying to cuff him, pressing him into the ground.

Cop in yellow decides he'd like to knee this fellow in the back a few times, and the other cop kindly moves the dudes arm out of the way each time Mr. yellow comes in with another knee.

Whatever the **** was going on that instigated the arrests, there was clearly no reason for this ****tard in the yellow jacket to kick either guy, other than to feed his over-sized ego.

Like I said, they both probably deserved a beating. But it's not the cops job to do that.

I usually side with the cops, but this one is pretty clear cut... no matter what happened beforehand, the other cops were already dealing with the first guy... the kick did absolutely nothing towards subduing him... The second guy was even more ridiculous... I bet this cop shit his pants when he saw the vid...

I would defiantly want to see the events leading up to this before making any judgment.

Why, what difference would that make? Aside from those two individuals actually assaulting the officer, there's nothing that I can think of that would justify his actions.

not fair to judge without seeing everything that went down, however i think he could have soccer kicked the second guy to the body, didnt have to be the face..lol. You break the law and there are consequences if you get caught, it just so happens these guys ran into a cop who isnt getting laid or is maybe fighting at home and is a little to pissed off.

Sadly, there is likely to be little to no repurcussion. The police gangs can pretty much do as they please. He'll get a written warning and maybe a 2 day suspension. If you did it you'ld be looking at jail.

Alright then. By the way, appealing to 'fairness' as some form of rationale is what children do. Police are delegated authority by legislation to enforce the law. That places a higher duty on them to adhere to the law while discharging their duty. Some cops just don't seem to get this b/c they are petty criminals at heart. Hopefully there are real consequences for breaking the law in this instance. A good civil suit as well to shake up the upper ranks a little.

I ****ing hate cops for reasons like this.

That douche bag bald cop did'nt need to kick the first dude and no way in hell needed to kick the second dude like that.

Excessive force/assault causing bodily harm and possibly aggravated assault. It's not often cops get charged with this stuff or even lose their job but this guy will lose his job, as he should. A stomp to the head and a full kick to the head. If the judge gives the cop even one day in jail he's finished but even if he doesn't the Victoria police will fire this guy. Brutal.

Didn't the cops in Vic arrest a citizen for holding a thief at gun point?
I believe the female cop at the audacity to say "we are here to protect people".

Fairness is what people claim when they have no logical recourse. This is epidemic. If cops strut around demanding respect because of the job they hold they need to collectively root out all that would diminish anything but a positive image. Sadly, cops have a tendency to defend each other even though it is blatantly obvious they are in the wrong. The cops only need to look at themselves to figure out why so many believe they are as corrupt as the criminals they are supposedly protecting us from.

NO citizen should be arresting anyone at gunpoint unless it's in their own home. This isn't the USA. A theft is a theft, just as the cops shouldn't be chasing down stolen cars at high speeds. It's just dumb. Citizen arrests are legislated and serve a purpose, but if we were allowed to hold theives at gunpoint then we may as well allow ordinary citizens to pull each other over for traffic violations.

the way things are today, why would a cop not assume someones got a camera recording this "event".. Maybe a LE member can shed some light for us ;)

Maybe some of them simply don't think before they act. Most who do such things don't, cops or otherwise.

All cops are different. Some are good, some are not. I think that by their training and by the power differiantal they hold over most of us in society, scenes like this can occur. I have dealt with cops before many times, in a legit way and some not-so legit ways, and they are all different. Some are decent guys, while other are complete douches who wouldint mind assaulting you if you spoke wrong or looked at them wrong.

no need to use the force they did, the guy was already on the damn ground.
typical chance for a cop to get out some of that bent up frustration of dealing with the usual bs, thats all

utter bullshit. absolutely no excuse. perhaps re instill some public confidence and fire that joker instead of patronizing us with a biased inquiry.
