Supplement Reviews

The supplement review section of CBB is officially launching today.

You'll notice a new link in the bar at the top of the site between Calendar and New posts. Clicking it will take you to the Supplement Review section of the site.

You'll also notice toward the bottom of the forum home page that there is a section that displays some random supplements that will link up to the supplement review section of that product if clicked.

Please note that all reviews and ratings will be moderated by a set of criteria to try to keep the section clean of biased reviews and ratings.

Your review may not show up for days or weeks. If the review is one that looks unbiased, it will be allowed through. If not, it will be removed. If most of your reviews are questionable, you will be barred from making any more.

Do not post up questions about your reviews or pm us about your review, it will probably go unanswered. Moderating will be done when time permits.

In time we will be able to get a general consensus of what is good, mediocre and bad. Try to be descriptive in your reviews and give it a fair rating.
I will be tweaking it as time goes on. If you run into any issues, please post up in this thread.

Also if you want a company or specific supplement added, post it up and I will get it done.

Posting up links to online stores in your review is strictly prohibited.

Each review you make will count as a post on the forum. I tried to make it as clear and familiar as possible to get to what you want to review or browse. I am the only one that will add products to the supplement reviews so direct those requests to me.

Is there a way to post up some kind of template for us to use so that all the reveiw's stay similar ?

Hmm...Hadn't thought of that.

Probably something like:

-what you thought of the product
-flavor used (if applicable)
-how long you used the product
-results from the product
-and of course, give it a rating 1-10 (let me know if you don't see that part as I had some issues with it)

You can post your review by either clicking the "Post a Review" button to the left of the supplement image or scrolling to the bottom of the product page and using the quick reply.

I have a suggestion to make. When you click on the "Sort by" Scrolldown box, there is not the option to Sort by "Top rated". Would that be possible, I think I'd be a good improvement. Besides that, everything is great. Goob job MP!

Add a link to the section under main forum index as well... it took me a while to figure out the link on the top... I kept looking for a forum link...

Instead of "Random Products" it would be more interesting to see "Most Reviewed Products" or the products with the best reviews...

Notice every picture has been extracted from the background. Took a huge amount of time, yes. But it's always something I wanted to get done for us. Had started it on another domain but abandoned it to do it all here.

Hopefully we get more traffic and new faces here.

I'll try to do it on the open board for now. You can add products to your watch list though.

It's a different section from the forum but tied into it which is why It's not on the main forum. I'll probably make a banner for it soon for more exposure.

Looks good. Wish I knew you were doing this. I just finished something similar on a bit of a smaller scale. Originally started off as something extremely small, but ended up a lot bigger.

Ever heard of UGM labs? Supposedly they make a serious fat burner called Q.

As far as I know, they do not have a website, which seems odd to me. One of the supplement stores in Whitby carries it. The young man at the desk told me that their office or manufacturing facility is located in North York, which is just north of Toronto.

They also make a few other products, one is a protein powder called Density (if I remember correctly) which I am guessing is "state of the art" because it sells for $80 for a 2.2lb container.

I do not have the ingredients of Q as it was on back order. I will let you know more when they have it in stock.

Here are the ingredients for Q by UGM labs. This is for a 4 cap serving.

Guarana Extract (standardized for 26% caffeine) 1800mg
Ephedramide (conjugated with glycine) 700mg
Gymnema Sylvestre (leaf) 400mg
White Willow Bark (standardized for 15% salician) 200mg
L-tyrosine 100mg
Calcium Pantothenate 80mg
Choline Bitartrate 80mg
Potassium Chloride 40mg
Chromium Polynicotinate 200mcg

Other supplements they carry are G, D and AOX. I guess they love simple letters of the alphabet. G is supposed to help with natural growth hormone release. D is a detoxification of some sort maybe a liver support. AOX is an anti-oxidant formula.

UGM Labs is by Gunnar Sikh (the guy who trained Negrita Jayde and Steve Brisbois). I can snap a pic of Density later this evening if you like. Pretty limited distribution. They used to sell on Negrita's website but sadly she has passed.
