Gym In Ottawa

Does anyone know of a decent gym that is within walking distance of the Fairmont Laurier in Ottawa? The Fairmont has a gym in it, its really small and not well equiped from what I understand. Any help would be appreciated.

Rideau GL would be best but I don't know if they offer walk-in or not.

yeah, but its like 20$ if i remember correctly... ottawa university has a decent gym, DBS up to 125 i believe, and its only ~12$ for walkin

Carleton's gym isn't too bad, but it's a bit of a hike for you I suppose. It gets pretty busy as well!

You can deadlift, but some of the staff aren't pleased with slamming. I deadlift on Fridays there, and the person working there doesn't care too much. The only real concern they have is if you actually drop the weight. If it's a controlled drop/slam, they seem to do okay.

I never had any problems deadlifting at Carlton, and I'm not particularly gentle with weights.
