I have been wondering if the Universal Animal products are all that they are supposed to be or is it just great marketing hype?

Just want to make some informed choices...

they make the best multi-vitamin for the bodybuilding community hands down. cant speak for the rest of their products though

Universal Nutrition has been in the buiz since 1977 and I personally believe it takes a lot more than just great 'marketing hype' to be in it that long. I think their supplements are excellent, including their brother-brands ANIMAL Pak mentioned above ^.

Worse case scenario, they offer their 30-day 100% "no-questions-asked" guarantee as well: http://www.animalpak.com/html/article_details.cfm?ID=58

They`re a solid company. But I have a certain grudge against them being cheap with the athletes they sponsor and don`t buy from them because of it. That and the fact they don`t make any innovative supps I can think of. They just ride the wave caused by other companies and put out their own version. Which is fine, but they charge just as much so I don`t see why I would go with that company.

Speaking of sponsorships... Take Eric Frankhouser ( I think it`s him ) the guy still has to work a full time job while getting ready for a show. They should take care of him to let him put his energy on bodybuilding. Besides they make millions and can afford it, but make him work like a rat because they know bodybuilders are desperate for any sponsorship, so based on that, Universal can suck it.

Old, popular company. None of their products have any value to me.

everything seems ultra overpriced to me. just look at the ingredients in the product of interest and find some brandless substitute

Been taking the animal pak for years and tried the entire line. Id still say the pack is great but why bother with the others when better bang for your buck options are out there. That being sed i think the pak is slightly overpriced but one of the best multis.

I could care less what a company pays its athletes, as far as Im concerned no athletes should be sponsored by supplement companies, at least that way the prices could potentially be lower so we dont have to pay for ronnie coleman to pretend to use no xplode.

but yeah. good multi's.

lol

^^^ Well say bsn and universal both had the exact same product for the exact same price. But one company lets their athlete (bsn) live and breath bodybuilding in hopes of becoming the best in the world. Wouldn`t you rather support the company who fully supports the athlete?

You don`t think it`s a joke of a sponsorship what Eric Frankhouser has? Did you see his vid on MD where they go through a day in his life? Olympic athletes sure as hell don`t have to work like him and what they do is nothing (way of speaking) compared to what it takes to be a pro and be a good pro to do some serious damage on the circuit.

i am just tired of paying for someone to pretend they use something. its not like reebok paying crosby who actually uses all the products he endorses. most of these pro's use very little and probably none of the shit they are peddling. and even worse they are promising the same gains they make to the young kids who think those supplements will help them. its a ****ing joke. to me its bad business practice and i could care less if these guys get paid or not. if they REALLY want to bodybuild, they will make the sacrifices necessary to do so.

Their no2 product is pretty damn good though from what I hear, but I just get sick of the hype, how am I supposed to believe that I can change my genetic structure by drinking their products? Because one of their "scientishans" told me so? LOL
