Are there any stretches you guys know of that can loosen up stiff quads?
I'm walking like frankenstein's monster from all the squats I have been doing but need to continue training everyday.
Any advice as always is much appreciated.

Quad stretches...

A foam roller is what you need.

Something else that I find helps with recovery and stiffness is the Dr Ho electro electrostimulation device. No shit guys, this thing works. I`ve had it for over a year now and it`s a quality device.

OMG that thing is ****ing insane..hurts on the forearms but it does help loosen up your muscles if you can get through the cramping.

The most important aspect with that device is how you place the pads. Sometimes just moving them a little bit in either direction makes a big difference. It`s not supposed to be painful. Turn it down bro! But when it goes through the various cycles in each mode sometimes the intensity really goes up and you`re sitting there yelling, lol... But that thing is a great deal for about $220. It looks like a cheap piece of shit, but I`ve used it alot and you can buy replacement pads for cheap. An easy gift you can tell someone to buy you if they don`t know what to buy and inexpensive. But what a stupid infomercial they have playing....

Sorry to kinda hi-jack this thread. But ritch is it similar to what physiotherapists use? Just a much more simple version.

Also have you used it on your upper forearm/elbow area?

A hot shower or bath followed by quad stretches and self-massage ot the quads.(Just follow the direction of the muscle fibers and always from bottom to top) My 2 cents.

I`m not an expert on this machines but would like to gain more knowledge about them. I pretty sure it`s a simpler version of what a physio uses. It goes through 3 cycles you select and in each cycle there is 5 mini cycles that it goes through automatically.

The biggest shortfall of the machine is when a certain frequency comes in, and say you like that feel of it, you can`t keep it doing just that for a prolonged period of time. That`s what the ones the physio`s use, I`m guessing. Then you could either slow or speed up the pulse and like my machine adjust the strength.

I`ve used it a few times on my forearm and wrist area and it worked but those are not problematic areas for me. It`s awesome on calves, quads, lower back, glutes, and shoulders. Pretty much everything...

If you google electrostimulation you will find a site that sells various machines for very cheap. I have no problem believing they are legit. The Dr Ho machine costs more as they run informercials every night and have a hotline running to place orders. That up`s the cost of the machine.

I asked my dad about them as he knows this stuff inside out and it`s not a complicated machine to make nor expensive. Plus these things are made in China... I bought the Dr Ho machine like a kid who knows nothing about creatine and goes into a GNC and buys muscletech creatine. Then later on finds out there are places like TS that sell it way cheaper. That`s what I`m guessing the main place that comes up on google is.

Yah its Dr. Ho says it on the top and on the box it came in it has a picture of his face. when you put that on your forearm do your fingers contract cause mine go nuts and start moving around.

I stretch a lot starting about half to 3/4 the way through my workout. Hold the stretch for 30 seconds after the exercise for 3 rounds each side. And at the end of my workout I spend a good 15-20 minutes stretching everything, dont forget the hips too!
