I've been reading a lot of Lyle McDonald's stuff this week. Some of it resonates well with me, some of it not so much.
I was looking at quite a few pictures of the people who have had success with this diet and I'm finding it a little disturbing from a bodybuilding perspective. The guys are either a buck and change and trying to get from 12% to 8% or they are extremely obese and trying to lose weight come hell or high water.
I'm having a pretty tough time find examples of muscular men using UD2.0 either for fat loss or weight gain. Has anyone here used Lyle's theories successful to add meat, or get cut and to what effect?
I'm going to keep reading as he makes some really interesting statements around genetic potential and expectations. I'm just not sure what the good and bad of his approach for bodybuilders is.
