I was thinking of that guy who fainted after a heavy pull because he screamed after doing it... Good job. That`s a weird technique you have of pulling the bar towards you and as it`s still rolling, you pull it up. Curious to hear what the others have to say about that. Lower back curved, watch out for that.

That video was hilarious lol. I find that with the Rehband back support and the belt my back rounds more. I know a few guys that pull with a rounded back and it seems to work for them. I have also found that since I have been pulling this way I have had less problems with my lower back. A couple of the guys that I train with got me to roll the bar in then pull, it seems to get the job done. If you watch some vids of Jim Wendler deadlifting he also rolls the bar in to some degree.

Rob's back is fine as this is the way he pulls. The bar rolling works for me and Rob adopted the same tech so it works for him as well obvioulsy as his deadlift keeps going up! Seeing as how you feel the need to comment why dont you post your deadlift vidz? And as far as wondering what other's have to say really dont mean shit, what works for some doesnt always work for other's. Lastly, in the sport which we compete in it doesnt matter what the lift looks like as long as you complete it.

I like the background pump up music and the hardcore dungeon gym. Well done lift tho. PPL expect you to pull 500 with textbook perfect form. Think again.

Why so defensive? You`re comming off as a douche. I wasen`t being angry of hatefull was just trying to be constructive. I don`t claim to be an expert, which is why I said "I`d be curious to hear what others have to say"

So since what others have to say dosen`t mean shit, I guess I can take your own advice and apply that to what you have to say? See how you should take more time in how you reply?

My opinion is that if you are going to be "constructive" your technique should be textbook, since I have never seen you post a vid or your lifts I can't comment on your form. If you aren't an expert why make a comment about somebody's form. I wasn't looking for anybody to jerk me off cuz I pulled 500lbs, it was a goal that I made and I was proud of it. I appreciate your concern for my safety but like I said earlier this style seems to be working for me and I haven't had the back problems that slowed my progress in the past.

So now we have to be an expert to post or offer critiques now? Wow... If you see my post as jerking, then you`re oversensitive. I simply was looking out... Sucks to have members on the board who are concerned about your safety and longevity huh?

You misunderstood what I was trying to say. I didn't mean that you were jerking, I meant I wasn't looking for people to tell me that I am great or whatever. I was just proud of my accomplishment and I wanted to put it up so that people could see that I was training hard and making gains. If you read my post I did thank you for looking out for my safety and I agree that longevity in a sport such as strongman/powerlifting is hard enough. again I thank you for your concern. If I do end up with an injury I will let you be the firat to tell me "I told you so."

I see your point. I`ve had enough injuries and understand the frustrations they can bring into one`s life. Trust me, no way would I want to add to another brother of iron`s frustration by saying "I told you so" That`s what girlfriends or wife`s are for.

I think we can both put this behind us knowing neither of us meant any harm. Great lift, let us know when you hit 550!

Hey man,

I know you've been doing some pulls off a plate, and some rack pulls, but you've also put 45lbs on your dead in just a couple months I think.

What do you think is the reason for the big jump lately? especially cause I think You've got quite a bit more left in the tank.

I think the biggest thing is more consistant training with guys that push me hard. I think that pulling off the plates has helped my speed off the ground and doing rack pulls from my sticking point have helped me to pull through it.

Since January I have put on about 20lbs and I am sure that the supplements have played a key role as well.

Roberge has gone from Mr. "once a year" inregards to strongman training to fully committed. He has put in a lot of sweat, blood into his training and it is paying off! Way 2 go ROBERGE!
