The first half was strong and second half not so much. It didn't hold my attention.
I knew what was going to happen in the end pretty much half way through the movie and I was drunk.
Good movie. The first bit was great. It got a little stale in the middle.

Hated it.
And I was looking forward to it too...
No suprises, no suspense. No chills, no thrills.
Good job by Leo, and I always love to see Max Von Sydow in something, but the movie just sucked.

Have not seen it, but heard negative reviews.
Guess I'll have to decide for myself!

I read the book as well and I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the movie. It was OK......it seemed to drag on, the ending was a bit of a surprise tho.
I turned this movie off halfway through. I don't care about the characters, nor do I care about the lead character's torment, particularly when I know what's going to happen.

yeah, i was kinda let down as well. nothing sucks more than figuring out the end before it happens. it wasn't all that well implemented either... but, still better than boondock saints 2.. ha! :p

The movie is playing in Japan now, so I just saw it. I loved it. I don't think it was actually meant to be a surprise twist, so I didn't mind at all that I saw it coming. I loved the music and the way it was filmed and I thought there were a TON of amazing performances in it. It really made me think about the ways I sometimes don't face up to the facts in my own life. It isn't often a movie makes me think so hard about anything!
Going to see District 9 tonight.
