Today was our refeed day. Do you guys all eat like pigs or do you have a plan going in? How much do you eat and do you keep it clean?

We keep it clean, but just plain eat too much and now there's some serious bloat. We had roasted pork, with mashed potatoes, corn and peas. No carb key lime pie for dessert and an entire fruit platter with plain yogurt.

Is this too much?

Personally if i have a goal to be a specific weight at a special date then I will NOT pig out. A plan is always a good thing to have. I also wouldn't make it a day , just a meal or two. Try to keep the fat contain low and the carbs high.

Now if I have NO goal ( stage goal, that is ) then I don't care what I eat on the refeed -

You call that a cheat day? Ha ha ha... Today for breakfast I had 2 pieces of peanut butter and jam toasts, 2 maple spread toasts and 2 toaster strudels. Later on I had some ice cream. During the game I had almost a full bag of bbq chips, working on a bad on 2 bite brownies, and chocolate chip cookies and a bad of maynard sour cherries. Just finished a pepperoni pizza earlier and will be finishing this 2L of rootbeer before I go to bed.

THAT`S A CHEAT DAY!

I am on keto, and am doing this for me and me alone.

Today I had pizza and a few glasses of wine as company came over to visit. not a good meal for any keto diet, and will throw me out I am sure.

All depends on our goals. Be happy, but if this is serious, and you have a contest to win....

I have a cheat meal as a refeed rather than a day and the last 3 have been pretty close to christmas dinner. I need to get back to my baked lasagna and spaghetti & meatballs.

You probably should not totally pig out. What i do is the day before major body part about 3 hours before bed eat a really high carb zero fat meal. I have been eating whole grain pancakes with strawberry jam and no sugar added maple syrup. For my protein I have 12 egg whites and 500ml of skim milk. This works great for lean mass.

I try my best to eat as much as possible to the point where I don't want even look at another doughnut or pizza lol but like the others said it depends on your goals and if your on a deadline

You're on keto (Palumbo style and not CKD style), correct?

No such thing as a refeed day. It's a refeed MEAL.

Last meal of the day, once a week.

High carbs (women up to 150grams max and men up to 500 grams max), low fat and about 50 grams of a lean protein source.

I do not pig out. I used to when I'd do keto but quickly learned that does not feel good so I ended up switching to pancakes and maple syrup with something chocolatey afterwards and that was that.

Yup, by doing that, it`s easy to stay on your diet during the week. Eat like a swine once a week then for 3 days you have 0 temptation, then on day 4 you start to think of it, on day 5 it`s tempting, on day 6 you look forward to day 7 because it`s your cheat day.

That's true..I did the same thing and it's work good for me! I eat a lot the saturday, 1 time per week and after This day, I can't even think about eating more because I will puke of course..Hahaha..but the sunday, I don't have any difficulty to return to my diets for 6 days, I'm more happy to eat my eggs with my cottage cheese than return to another cheat day!:D

I felt totally sick on Monday. I woke up feeling like I had to puke as I could feel the food in my throat still. So I had to eat breakfast on top of that and head out to the gym. My friend asked what the hell was wrong with me when he saw me...

And before bed on Sunday, I took out some chocolate pastries I had bought the previous week I haden`t eaten. The one`s they sell at the Ultramar gas stations... But they were placed in a zip lock bag and when I took em out, they were still fresh. I only ate one, as I wasen`t sure if they could upset my stomach. Then I had a cup cake I had kept as well from the week before. That thing was still fresh. Which is scarry to think what kind of chemicals they must put in them as the package had been open, but not pulled over the second cup cake. They`re the Ms Freshly one, that look like the "ding dongs" Hostess used to make.

I say to myself I`ll take it easy next Sunday, but I`m sure I`ll do it again...

Yeah Nate you're right, it's a meal not the full day of cheating. Sorry, I screwed that up. So you're saying for a cheat meal it is limited to intake? How about quality of foods? If I was to say have a standard dessert is this still OK or is no sugars best.

Our last couple of refeed meals are
pork/potatoes
moose meat lasagna
veggie lover pizzas with chicken
moose meat spaghetti

We ususally never have dessert and have fruit on occasion with plain yogurt. How does this sound? Are we doing OK?
