All this bullsit is just that....BULLSHIT:mad:

So the team had a few drinks on THERE OWN ice after they won the gold, big ****ing deal. Half the people(if not more)watching the hockey games are drinking PLUS Molson Canadian sponsers the Olympics so where is the ****ing problem huh?

****ing cock suckers who took the pics should be shot man. Holy shit im so ****ing pissed some of the team had to ****ing say sorry on stage for this bullshit just hours after they won the gold medal.....ERRRR

What is more Canadian then winning the gold medal in HOCKEY then having a few brews on the ice you just won the gold on.

I think that would have been the best place to have the brews...like who the **** wants to drink in the stinky ass dressing room or at a bar/pub where they will be harrased by fans non stop.

I say GOOD for them and i back em 150%:friday

the appropriate response to the complaints about the woman's team celebration...

"Great. Let me get this down. An apology... Oh, wait! I got a better idea. Instead of an apology, how about I send you a hobo's dick cheese? Then, you kill him. Do your thing, skin the ****ing bastard. Go to town, man. Go to town! In the mean time and as usual, go **** yourself."

Yep, the media made a real big deal out of this. But it was fueled by the AMERICAN Media. While at the same time, NOTHING was mentioned about the U.S. women's team placing the Canadian Flag on the floor of the dressing room and walking all over it prior to the start and during intermissions ( not to mention whatever other kinds of degrading acts that took place away from the media.) This went totally unpublished. Yet, isn't it an offence to degrade the national flag of a country when you are IN THAT COUNTRY.......regardless of your Nationality.
I wonder what Don Cherry will have to say about (aboot) this .

Congrats Ladies......all this anger has made me thirsty. I think I'll have a beer:beer and smoke a cigar !!:cflag

They were very professional bro and them ladies have been training for ever for the olympics so after winning the gold i think there's nothing wrong with a few brews on THERE ice ya dig?

They waited till all the fans were out of the building so that right there shows they were being responsible wade.

They didnt show much class IMO... sure they have a right to celebrate but in the center of the ice smoking cigars acting like a bunch of butch lezbos... they separate the mens and womens leagues for a reason, call me sexist, but act your sex.

If the mens team won and celebrated by skating around in pink tutu's you'd get the same reaction.

It was more a policy violation than anything, they arent supposed to drink at olympic venues during the olympics. Follow the rules... they embarrased themselves IMO.. no composure what so ever.

i agree they werent exactly class acts. I wont comment on the acting your gender and what not. There are gender roles. Meaning a man is supposed to act and such and a women is supposed to act as such. If someone doesnt conform to the supposed actions it doesnt automaticly make them gay or lez. BUTTT i think this whole media firestorm is a ****load of crap. Just ppl being sore losers again whining about non important details. Was it a bad move to act in that way YES. Should they lose the gold absolutely not they played amazing and did Canada proud. But they kind of improperly represented the way ppl look at Canadian women.

It was bit bush league but I like 80's bush anyhow. Let's not forget those **** USA women stomped on the Canadian flag at the Olympics in either 2006 or 2002. I think our women were rubbing it in as the American girls stood there crying. I say it's very fitting that our girls acted like the Ugly American for a change. take some of their own medicine.

Our women were better looking in general.

I agree with this...I think there's been a major overreaction, but they definitely didn't use good judgement. Their sport is already under fire for future Olympics, and they didn't do themselves any favours to continue to be included down the road...

Way too much exageration over this. If a figure skater were drinking beer and smoking cigars, it would be different. But this is hockey. A rough and tough sport. Not the tea drinking pinky in the air image a figure skater must maintain. Hockey is a bad ass sport and their behavior reflected who they really are. You get offended by that, you`re a ****ing pussy. End of story, let them enjoy their glory.

to whoever said they're role models... pull your head out of your ass. They aren't. They play a sport. Parents are role models and that is exactly what's wrong with society.

Athletes, celebs, et al get paid to do a job. They are no different than the coffee shop employees, construction worker or the teacher. They aren't role models for kids and if you think they are then perhaps if you have kids you should spend more of your time being a better parent for your child so that your child wants to look up to you as a person to model their life after instead of someone being paid millions of dollars that they will never meet. May we well say the easter bunny and santa clause are role models too.

For once I agree with Wade, Olympic Athletes are role models. You just have to ask young canadian girls who are currently practicing figure skating, they're probably all going to say they want to be like Joannie Rochette after seeing her performance durng the olympics. Hockey players are even more influential role models for children in Canada. Imagine if going on the ice, smoking cigars and drinking beer after a win in the Olympics became a common practice for canadian athletes, Canadian children would tend to think this is normal and we what would other countries perception of Canada would be?

As a Canadian, I can say I'm kinda of ashamed after seeing the pictures. Before seeing the pictures I thought it was simply another overreaction by the media to sell another one of their bs stories. http://network.nationalpost.com/NP/blogs/fullcomment/archive/2010/02/26/canada-s-women-s-hockey-team-celebrate-with-beer-cigars-ioc-gets-huffy.aspx

You gotta admit though, these women look like they have no class whatsoever. And this is the Internet, people from all over the world will see these pictures. They could've done this kind of celebration somewhere else, away from the public eye. Number 10 on the picture looks likes a darn butch with no class. Don't tell me you guys are proud to see her wearing the Team Canada jersey with her hats backwards, smoking a cigar and a can of Molson canadian in the other hand. It just looks like a bad caricature of Canadians, a little more and you could almost see a speech balloon with a big "I'm Canadian eh?"

Obviously it wasn't a great idea but the overreaction is not warranted. Athletes today have to be way more careful of their actions because of the internet, TMZ, and facebook.

Imagine what kind of outrages would have occurred had these things been around the 1980's Oilers or NY Mets?

I hardly doubt most children pay attention to womens hockey, and the reality is that some of the stars on the team are absolutely ****ed in the head.

I thought the bigger deal was that they youngest girl on the team was 18 and in BC the legal drinking age is 19?

how different would this have been if these girls did do this in the locker room or their hotel (with their doors open so teammates could go to different rooms) but they were stripped down and someone was able to snap pics of that?

Also how do people know that the americans were stomping on the canadian flag if it wasnt televised, or is this just hearsay?
