After looking at so many pictures recently, I have come to the conclusion that the one piece is so much more elegant on the women figure competitors than the two piece.

At first I'm thinking the bikini two piece would be much more sexy yet the one piece seems to do it for me. Sexy and elegant. Some of the suits are made really well. I heard they are very expensive too.

What do you all prefer? (disrespectful answers will be removed)

Personally, I love the look of the one piece also....really shows off symmetry. BUT suits are soooo friggin expensive, I'm really not that upset when the one piece isn't required for certain competitions.

I like the one piece but from a judging perspective I can understand the preference for 2 piece. I also really love the fashion/pageant but life would be a heck of a lot easier if it was black speedos and bikinis. Yes I'm a lout.

What I find really striking as you post the pictures of all the women is just what a female dominated sport this really is. When you go to the gym and see all the young boys doing arm curls and read the magazines you would simply not realize that women dominate the sport 3:1.

Now my big question is where the heck do they work out because they certainly don't go to the Y.

I have never been a fan of the one piece suit... might be why I wnet into fitness instead of figures..lol we dont have a one piece.

I think 1 piece is silly and not sure why it ever even existed. Perhaps the thought was they wanted something "elegant" or whatever. But the sport has evolved past that. No more "evening gown" rounds.

I won't be surprised when 1 piece becomes a thing of the past.

Totally agree. It covers up the body. And I think it might already be a thing of the past,at least in B.C. it is.

A few organizations have cut the one piece here (ON) also...at least at the novice levels. Nationals still require THREE suits.

I would prefer the one piece. I've always had issues with getting my skin really tight over my abs and this would solve it. The figure stance should help when compared to the bodybuilding one that I did for so long. Looking forward to May!

MP...I saw a 2 pc suite that I loved on a competitor recently, the bra top had underwires and a double side strap by the arm pit area, she said it was made for her by someone in Ottawa. Anyone have an idea of who makes them up there?

not a fan of the one piece. Why cover up the body during a physique contest? I get the black 2 piece....so everyone is on equal footing without distraction...but I've always thought the one piece makes torso's look odd. IBFF and NPC are done with it, I'm surprised it's still being used up here!

I wish they would do away with it - needing 3 suits at the nationals is way too expensive.

These costumes are crazy expensive. Women look great to me in either bikini or one piece.

I think the suits should be spray painted on. ;)
