You guys know damn well how lucky the Americans were in that team. At one point they had 2 goals and only 5 shots. We`ll see who gets the last laugh.

Brodeur had been playing lousy leading up to the olympics...the Americans had horseshoes up their asses.

I have a one word answer for that loss. BRODEUR!!!! Yes he has all the records and he is one of the best of all time but his old ass needs to step back and put pride aside and do whats best for our team.

We will see what happens with Russia tonight....I think loosing to the American team really pissed our boys off.....Brodeur DID shit the bed, however, Louango didn't preform all that well either,,,,Germany isn't a hockey powerhouse and they managed 2 goals......Russia will likely destroy him if they go with him for the start.....
USA will likely have to face Canada again in this.....and Canada will be itching for redemption......

Well i guess we will see tonight. Luongo gets the start. Brodeur has a hybrid style of playing goal. It is a style that is not used nor taught anymore. The butterfly style, which is used by 99% of the goaltenders in the NHL except Brodeur, is where the position has evolved to. How many times was Marty caught out of position during that game? I am by no means denying Brodeur as being one of the best of all times but in this case i think he may be a little slower than he was in the past. Time for a change.
As far as me being an idiot... I didnt think having an opinion or voicing it for that matter made me one...

Brodeur should have been the 3rd goalie anyway, Luongo, Fleury, then maybe that old washed up Brodeur. The USA still blows goats, every dog has it's day. Sorry Lazrod but it's the truth.

as for the states. they wont medal. There gold medal game was beating us,if they shit the bed rest of tourney they wont care.

the rest of the team is made up of guys who know their "role" thats the biggest difference i have seen from any team. other then maybe Latvia and Norway. those teams too played a style where they never gave up. hell both teams almost stole wins last night.

By my watch it's been a season and a half. Remember how well they did lasy year? It won't matter anyhow. His moves so far have been stupid. His " playing with truculence " angle didn't work, he kept that bum Toskala around far too long and gave up way too much for Kessel. ' The monster ' is over rated and despite being a rookie has looked awful on many a night. He could have all the money in the world and still produce a shit team. It's Toronto, where losing is the statut quo. Haven't won a meaningful game since 1967.
Burke didn't even build Anaheim. Brian Murray did. Burke put the finishing touches on.
I'll put money on it right now they don't make the playoffs next year either.

Don't matter anymore. Leafs haven't made the playoffs in 5 years (they are already done this year)and next season will make 6. The Sens did play in a Cup Final a few years back. No one one this board has ever witnessed, or will ever witness a Leaf team do that in their lifetime. If The Leafs ever play again come May they will likely beat Ottawa, I'll give you that. Sens are cursed in that department.
