The american team this year is extremely talented, young, and fast. They straight up wanted to win that game more as was told by the one handed super extension to score the empty net goal. That was some unbelievable work ethic. Amazing game to watch.

I too want to see Russia take the gold but not because I dont like Canada, I just have a man love for Ovechkin and I think he deserves it.

My family is from Russia. I realize i am canadian and i support them in all other events and wish them well in hockey, however, I truly love the way the russian team plays, I find their players exiting and I dont particularly like anyone on the Canadian team. I know it is but one game, but compare the play of the two "superstars" last night. Ovechkin and Malkin dominated with exiting offense and some huge hits. Crosby DID score a goal but was basically floating for the rest of the game and the 'poster child' Igilna.....did he even play last night? did he make the shuttle to Gm Place?

The problem with Canada is that they are not playing as a team. The game against the US showed that as clear as ever. Canada might be laying down lots of shots but few are actual scoring chances. There is very little play setup compared to what you saw from the US. If Canada continues to play based on individual effort they will fail.

Im rooting for my favourite team not the team I am stuck rooting for. I cant stand Sidney the cry baby Crosby and his faggoty style of "dont you dare hit me, Im the next gretzky" bullshit. He doesnt deserve a cup and gold in the same year.

I do really like Iginla and Heater but I gotta go with my boy Ovie on this one. He is the most entertaining athlete on earth and deserves a gold medal more than anyone.
