A little used feature that the site software offers is to subscribe to a thread.

Let's say you don't come around often and there is a particular thread that interests you and you would like to know when it's updated or someone posts in it, you can subscribe to it and you'll get an email notification when someone posts in it.

This is also good for threads that important to you specifically and would like to be notified whether you come often or not.

How to do this.
Go to the thread in question. On the top right of the first post, you'll see a link that says Thread Tools. Click the little down arrow and select Subscribe to thread. Of course you will need to have a valid email you use so you'll get the notification. To remove the subscription, it is done in your User CP (User control panel).

For advertisers, there is an option I can set that will notify you by email if there is a new post in your forum or if there is a new thread. Be wary is if a lot of people post up and you select notify on new post, you'll get flooded with emails. But the option is there. Contact me if you wish to be notified with emails when someone posts a new thread or new post in your forum. Only I can set this option for you so it's not something you'll be able to do yourself.

**Please note that since I am not using smtp relays (for those that understand what it is) but the basic phpmail() function, your notification MAY end up in the spam folder. If it does, select it in your email application and mark it as it's not spam and it should be good from then on.**

I was actually going to send you a PM about subscribing to threads so I can respond as soon as possible or on the go.
