This has been happening for the past couple of months, the muscle groupd that I'd just work out will cramp up if I flex it too much, and this will last hours after my work out.

Today I did back, and when I got home if I bent my arms to reach my head my brachioradialis muscle would tense up and cramp, and I'd have to hyper extend it to stop it from doing that.

Last week I finished training back and I reached my right arm acroos my body to get something, and my right peck cramped up much the same way.

I havent changed my diet much, although I can only get about 4 litres of water in now because I'm usually too busy at work.

Can anyone think of why this is happening? Too little sodium, potassium? I woudln't know just throwing some ideas out there...

At least your not getting it during the middle of the night. I used to get it during the middle of the night and after training. Only thing i did was increase stretching. But from what Iv heard its your electrolytes and/or calcium (in some cases). Try replenishing your electrolytes first.

I use the sauna and stretch extensively after every workout. It never stops my early morning calf charlie-horse, but it certainly stops the rest of the cramping that I used to put up with.

Same thing was happening to me a couple months back, even made a similar post about it.. sure enough it was lack of sodium intake. With all the water you drink plus the sweat you discrete your getting rid of all your electrolytes and they need to be replenished. I increased my sodium to .5g per liter of water. Or, as recommended to me, you can drink gatorade pwo if you can spare the calories.

Good luck! I don't wish that feeling on anyone.. "cringe"..

I agree with cch on this uncomfortable subject ha

Take a Potassium supp. Had both glutes and hamstrings cramp the other night could barely walked/drive----most painful experience ever. Bought Potassium supp from wal-mart and was good in 3-4 hours.....

I have very little tolerance for tbol/dbol. When I get to the point of having to lie on the floor till the pain passes after a set it's time for me stop quit orals for a while.

I haven't had cramping without orals since I was a teenager. Back then I would get these incredible mind destroying cramps occassionally for no reason that I ever understood.

Wow thanks for all the quick responses guys. I have been taking a calcium supp regularly, 600mg with vit D 3 x daily, but I might have thrown something off balance. I'll def up the sodium and get some potassium.

Middle of the night is the worst! ****ing calves cramping. I've never been awake so fast in my life!

Yeah I use to get them in the middle of the night in my calves, quads and hamstrings. (I was only maybe 14-16) It went on for like 2 years. Wasn't fun stuff - I use to get them so bad I'd have a hard time walking the next day sometimes.

I eventually went to the doctor and she had given me some kind of drink to take every few days for a few weeks. I can't quite remember what it was though.

Hahaha those are definitely the worst. Just makes you cringe. Ironically enough I had a calf cramp today in my left leg. I was just watching the tube and I did a big reclined stretch on the recliner and my calf didn't appreciate it.
