Nandrolone (npp) is 12 months to testable so I'd probably be cutting things a little close. Banned from MABBA in a my first novice competition in the masters class would be funny but not.

pussy lol

I'd actually think that to be easier. Wayyyy quicker to get into contest shape. I think I'd rather stay 10-15lbs from show condition and have a 6 week prep than drop 30-50lbs and have a 12-16 week prep.

I find it a hard when you're doing a show every month. I did it in 2006 and while it wasn't that hard mentally or physically to diet and maintain near contest condition, what I did find is that I could not maintain my muscle for that long at a low body fat %. I can easily maintain muscle at 10%, but when I was hovering from 5-6-7 %, that is when it started to show. I was looking worse from show to show even though same body fat.

Perhaps it might have been easier with "assistance". Never again will I try to do shows outside of a 1 month window. week to week is another story, I find that is ideal.

what would you think about a couple shows two weeks apart?... I am thinking of doing a show in Vegas, but it's 2 weeks after provincials... a few people I talked to said that's perfect... you do the show, have a nice cheat, then just diet again till the next one... opinion?

2 weeks is good. 1 month gets difficult as it becomes a balance to get weight up a bit then bring it back down so there you're not burning up muscle as steve_d said.

I agree with Nate and Steve on this one.....Off season I am roughly 30lbs heavier, but I can lose weight like a Mofo so its not that bad, and I don't have to diet too hard - thankfully - and I don't have to do any cardio to lean out.

I say go for it - I think it would be an amazing experience. Which provincials are you doing?

ottawa's november

so how does this new system work? top 5 of every weight class qualifies for next level??

2 weeks apart is also good...For me, as long as its in a 1 month window, then its all good. especially if the first show is a "lesser" show. if you have to peak and then peak again 4 weeks later, might be pushing it. For me anyway.

yes, thats how it should work. Hopefully Ottawas will be a good show. New promoters since basically the entire eastern region committee stepped down.

I am planning on sudbury & provincials. Originally was planning missisauga & provincials. I thought they were 3 weeks apart, but they are 4 weeks apart, so like I was saying before, I'd rather do them closer together. That + travel / babysitter arrangments etc. much better this way.

Haven't done a show in 4 years after competing year after year since '97.

lol, I was in shape for the London show last november but had work conflicts...been just keeping it there and tightening up bit by bit since then. The goal is to get to the point where I don't have to change anything for a show, just cut water, paint on the tan and walk on stage.

For show timing, it totally depends on how long it takes your body to normalize the water rebound and be able to take another water drop...and what your willpower is like...lol, sometimes that pizza is just too good!

I`ll start competing when you actually get money for your effort and don`t have to wear some faggy costumes as part as your presentation (WBBF)
