View Full Version : Anyone sensitive to ephedrine but found Clen mild\tolerable?

I'm considering using Clen towards the end of my keto diet but I'm concerned I might be sensitive to it because of how I respond to ephedrine. I can take half of an 8mg ephedrine and get the dirty alertness all day and frankly its shit for brain function, concentration\focus etc. The nervous energy is pretty useless when you're trying to sit at a desk.

Is Clen going to produce similar results? I've searched and the camps seem divided, so I may not get the responses I'm looking for but primarly I'm interested in those of you who have tried ephedrine and been VERY sensitive to it, but found Clen to be quite mild and acceptable in comparison.

Hey bro....i dont drink coffee, nor take any stimulants, i get anxious on caffeine, ephedrine makes me way to jittery....
BUT, i used clen for contest and tolerated it real well.....
Just taper up, and then taper down when complete....There are lots of ways to take it, Thats a personal choice....
When tapering up start off at 60 mcg/day, or less, and then up it by 20 each week, i personally dont advise more than 120-160 mcg/day...But others do....When tapering down do the opposite, then when at 40-60 you can stop without to much of a rebound....

The initial doses of clen (first two weeks) were the worst for me and just as annoying as ephidrine, but like ephidrine you adjust.

ephidrine gave me a bad case of limp dick. clen does not.

I can actually sleep on clen while sleep on ephidrine is unpossible for me.

Still they both have a mental effect that is similar in its mental discomfort for me. I don't like the feeling of not being right in the head, clen may not quite be speed but it has a similar feeling.

Exaclty what your title says. Ephedrine even at 8 mg gives me a huge boost, but I have to take it after I`ve eaten, otherwise I get the bad sides you`re talking about. But clen for some reason, dosen`t do that to me. I`d start with 20mcg and taper up. As great as clen works, it dosen`t cut appetite like ephedrine if that`s a concern to you. Clen is defenitely worth trying.

Ephedrine is a non specific beta agonist...hence it is a stimulant by definition because of its effect of the central nervous system namely the adrenal glands. Clenbuterol is a specific beta agonist which means it acts specifically on beta 2 cells which do not directly effect the CNS or adrenal glands which is why by definition it is NOT a stimulant. Ephedrine is a vasoconstrictor and thus raises blood pressure...clen lowers blood pressure.
Overall clen is much easier on the body as a whole and you will experience much less sides and recovery after cessation will be much quicker.

Exactly the input I was looking for. Thanks everyone. Going to give it a shot towards the end of my diet or if I plateau too early.

I always read Clen cycles including a taper down and will follow that advice, but I'm curious what the problem is simply stopping when at your high dose. Is there a withdrawal or crash associated?

I get a good sense of well being from 24mg Eph, 200mg Caf, 200mg Asprin.

Taking right when I wake up and then start cooking breakfast

then

Taking 30mins before Workout. Gives me an edge, where I feel beastly and definitely feel the increased energy once I start my jog to the gym.

My blood presure has gone up considerably though to

140 over 60. The only one that is high is the Systolic tho.

Felt like the clen raised my body temp more considerably then ephedrine, but i never took clen long enough to really see which reacted better w/ my body over a period of time.

i can't take EC without feeling cracked out. i also can't fall asleep, even if my last dose was before 12pm.

i can't handle 100mcg of clen with relative ease.

I've always heard a 50/50 view of clen. half of the people say it will screw up your heart and others say it's fine....anyone on here who has a greater knowledge of clen?

Clen i can tolerate ephedrine is unbearable for me i feel like i'm on crack i feel burned out a matter of days and crash hard. For Clen i don't see the need to go over 100mcg/day i was stupid years back and did 200mcg and bitched about feeling crappy. Currently on 50mcg and feel fine just warm all the time.

Don't know whats worse , Ephedrine or a combination of an ECA stack, I thought I was going to have a mental breakdown at work in the plant,, I must have looked cracked out cause the guys I worked with kept asking me if I was ok,, then bam!! Panic, anxiety, I don't know if i will take it again, same with lipo-6, too much caffein .

Weird though is when hydroxycut had ephedrine I could handle high doses,, not now.
ECA stack 8mg,200mg,325mg,, leaves me tripping for hours.

I've taken low dose of clen , didn't feel anything on 20 mcg. I'm probably going to try and ramp up with that instead.

Ephedrine makes me crazy!!!! Whether I have taken it alone or an ECA stack it just makes me way too wired and wonky.

Caffeine and Ephedrine both crack me out... jittery, nervousness, anxiety and a general hung over feeling the next day that usually leaves me feeling completely wiped.

I'm on day 4 of Clen at 20mcg, so far I've had headaches and have been super tired. So at low dose for me, no jitteriness or cracked out feeling. That might change at higher doses though.

Kloan, if you don't mind, update this thread once in a while as you ramp up.

I was on 20mcg and found the same thing. Headaches, tired as ****, like unbelievably tired, yet still found I couldn't just pass out at the end of the day like I can when I'm not on anything. I got up to 40mcg (i know thats still low) and to be honest I never felt warm or typical sides. I can definitely detect a non-sober change in my head similar to stimulant yet different...very hard to describe. I can understand what Tiramisu dislikes about clen now however.

I actually stopped my clen use after taking a single 20mcg pill in the morning that must have been misdosed and going critical mass. Felt like a panic attack out of nowhere but had a mixture of adrenaline rush to it. Almost felt like adream my head was spacing out and at the time I was worrying how long my heart could even keep that shit up. Was enough to put me off and leave it alone...for now...of course I kept the remainder of my clen lol.

So not to scare anyone but there's not much margin for dosing errors when it comes to micrograms. I still believe clen to be relatively safe and to answer my own OP, I find it much easier to handle than ephedrine...totally different animals. Its just wierd that on keto and clen I was cold 24/7...my hands were always freezing.

I'm hoping I adjust, and actually get more of a stimulant effect as I increase the dosage. I want to cut out the preworkout drink but I'm so bloody tired from this stuff right now I don't have a choice if I want to keep lifting.

I'm glad I went with liquid though after reading your bad experience with it. Using a slin pin is super accurate, so at least there's no chance to od.

Yeah duder for sure, I'll be going to try and ramp up as well, see what happens. I have to grab some more too,, long as this isnt as bad as ephedrine I think I will do better, only time will tell. Just hate dishing out good cash for something I can't handle.

Well good news no headache today! Can still feel a bit of pressure but no headache, and I'm not as fatigued either. So far so good. :)

Oh, and I'm down 7lbs already... wtf?! lol... this is the quickest I've ever dropped weight. I think it's because I was eating so much frickin food before and my weight gain still plateaued, so dropping 600-800 calories it's not too surprising I'd start loosing weight, but still... faster than I was expecting.

Tanita scale says I'm down 2% BF. Could be water weight.. but when I was gaining, the BF% stayed around the same range the whole time, so who knows.
