My argument with this is what about the scar tissue? How do they clean that up to stop the pain. When I had my elbow injury, even after the swelling went down and all, the scar tissue caused me tons of pain.

1. Proper, careful, rehab type, progressive exercise and 2. ultrasound therapy both break up scar tissue as well as massage and heat. Exercise that is too intense and violent just makes more scar tissue because the old scar tissue tears easily (unlike healthy tissue which is flexible and elastic-like) making more and more scar tissue. Two different issues. The other being those sugar injections that repair damaged tendons etc. Once the tendon is healed it is time to get rid of the scar tissue. Not before it is healed!
So 1. Heal the tendon and 2. get rid of the scar tissue. If you try to get rid of the scar tissure before it is totally healed it will just not work. The unhealed tissue will just create more scar tissue. If it IS healed enough and your rehab is good and careful enough, all the scar tissue will go away. I am talking about normal tendon scar tissue. Not bone like hard shit. That requires surgery.
I had a nagging strain to my bicep tendon last summer. My doc told me to use a really light weight, and do hammercurls, but rather than controling the weight on the way down, let it free-fall until your arm is at 90 degrees, then stop the weight/
So you would start in the top position of a hammer curl, relax your bicep so the weight swings down, and then when your forearm is parallel to the floor, stop the fall of the weight.
Worked like a damn charm. No idea why or the explanation behind it, but it worked for me!

I heard of that. By doing that your using your tendon more. Mking it more flexible and toughening it up. Doing it properly uses the muscle more. I forgot about this.
