So, here goes...one month with zero Aspartame intake...from approx 2 cans and a good sized glass per day...
Why am I drinking poison anyway?!
Anyone else have any results from quitting this stuff???

No noticable impact to performance, mental state or body composition but I tend to avoid it as a good practice. I find pellegrino (bubbly water) with a squeeze of lemon or lime really refreshing and it has enough mouth taste to make it satisfying.

pepsi max addict... 1 can a day... not too bad... but I'm not prepared to quit until my trainer says "no sweetener"... usually 4 weeks out.

Shall do.
I guess the point I'm at right now is that I'm not sure what else I can cut/change to lean out into the very low teens / single digit BF% range and am wondering if the aspartame is causing a body chemistry reaction that creates the unwanted release of insulin and/or cortisol, both of which affect body fat composition.
So here goes...one day down...29 to go...

I have heard that you retain a little water from aspartame .. so possibly expect to drop a few lbs... but that means no gum.. no diet pop.. nothing that contains it.
Crystal Lite is my absolutle fav.. i wouldnt give that up for 2 or 3lbs thats for sure!

My water weight usually varies 2-6lbs per week so I'm not too worried about that.
I'll put it this way, at one time or another I have tried cutting virtually every other item out of my diet - carbs, fats, all processed foods, you name it.
The only thing I haven't tried removing from the equation was aspartame in on form or another & the only product I consume it in is diet soft drinks, that will be this month effort.
I'll take some before pics tonight & add them to my 'progress' file & see what happens in the next 4 weeks, otherwise, diet shall remain the same, including my usual friday cheat night frozen pizza and red wine binge.

Normally, I'd agree with you, but I haven't touched it in a good month plus, wife is knocked up & don't want to rub it in her face... ;)

I'd really like it if someone was able to pull up a reasonable study that shows that Diet Soft Drinks are bad (not a study in rats using the equivalent of 100 cans of day of soft drinks).
