I know I feel way too sluggish, been sittin around 16% or so for a while now, but I think I'll dump down to 8ish for the summer, I hope ;) seems to get tougher every year I get older! ha

I think somewhere around 10-15%. Still feel strong and don't get tired or snore as much from carrying around extra weight.

Yup,thats what i want to do as well.Im going to be 40 this yr and im pretty happy with the muscle i have put on.I dont have this "need" to be big.I might diet 3 to 4 weeks a year TOPS,just so that whatever little i gained,i take it right back off.The hard part though(like i mentioned in one of my threads) is the transition back into maintenace mode after the diet. Its almost certain that you will add another 1-1.5%bf in the following 2 weeks. So i guess the best thing to do is to go down to 7 or so to be at 8%..

totally agree with ya, I'm in that same boat man 37. Just wanna cruise instead and not worry bout being the biggest guy in the gym etc., anymore! I just wasn't yet sure I'd be happy with the muscle I've gained over time but I have to get that outa my brain!! ha

I came from 150lbs at 20 yrs old to a bodybuilding (offseason) 280lbs and now sit at 256lbs with my top 4 abs still visible at 37 yrs old. I'm just getting too darn lazy to try and maintain this size anymore.

250 @ 8% is about where i'd like to get to.
I'll likely be just about exactly 200 when I finish this cut.

I wanted the same goal since I was a young boy....ah I've said this same stuff a hundred times before so who knows. My wife gets sick of hearing it also, cause she's heard it all before LOL

Wow!Amazing bro!You cant really ask for more with those numbers.Im sure you put a lot of young ones to shame.loll.

To me now its all about maintaining, staying lean and eating HEALTHY.And that means 98% of my meals. The older i get,the more i realize that healthy is the way to go..

high weight in lbs with low bf% is just too much work to maintain, for me not a realistic goal in the long run... so ill be happy with whatever i weight where my bf% gives me a chisled facial structure

Seems a few of us are on the same page. It just seems there`s a point where adding more muscle, even a few pounds takes an insane amount of work. So no more bringing up the body fat for me either. I`m now lean, but a little disapointed by how low my body weight is. But my face is gonna disappear if I get any leaner. I was 230 this summer, and maintained a 220 plus body for over a year. The whole re create a new set point for your body dosen`t apply to me.

Although I`ve reached my bf goals, I`m gonna keep at it until the end of this month, increase the cals for march and april, then from may there will be very little work to do to get lean again. I swear I started dieting mid december just to lose 10 pounds as I knew I`d gain 10 over the holidays. Because of work and family I couldn`t eat 6 meals a day, and didn`t start doing what I wanted to do until the first week of January. The joys of being an ecto...

15% is absolutely top end for me. I feel much better and look much better in the single digits though. Just tough to maintain. I keep going back and forth in my decision to cut because i can't stand this weight anymore but the problem is i've still got 2 months left in my offseason.

How much do you weigh bro??Are you still competing and wanting to add muscle??I hear ya with the maintaining part.So easy to gain,so easy to lose..but its staying there thats the friggin hardest. If i could just find a system that would make me gain 1/2lb every 2 weeks or so id be happy.Yes, I could count calories, but you need to take everything into consideration like cheat meals and carb timings and the holidays and what have you. Then theres the mental aspect of not going over board when coming off a diet.Cause like it or not,we will gain fat somewhat during the year and will have to diet a couple of weeks to shed it back off.Like i said though,if i could just stay at 7-8% and just slowwwwwlllllyy gain,I wouldnt have to go over 4 weeks a yr of dieting.I really think in order to be succesfull you need to do cardio 2-3 times a week, even when bulking.I think there are many things we are going to have to change in order to achieve this.Slowly,im learning how my body reacts to certain things.I log them, and i learn from them.Eventually,I will be successful.

Yeah still competing and currently holding 220lbs. Calipers say 10% but i think it's closer to 15%. Either way i'm up a weight class or two from last year. It's tougher as you get older (being almost 35 now) i've gotta take more time off than when i was younger in order to avoid overuse injuries and overtraining issues with the CNS. But never been as big or as strong so i'm going to keep hitting it hard. Maintaining...that's something else.
