How old were you and why did you start?
I started at 28 because after 3 years of training, I had plateaued pretty much. I had good size and strength and was training very consistent. After I started, my body changed dramatically for the better. It was a good choice for me but I spent tons of hours researching how to do it properly so I wouldn't ruin my health. What about the rest of you?
23, started for the same reason everyone else does: Insecurity.
Wether you are insecure about your physique or your preformance in sports, IMO that is the underlying cause of every injection made.

lmfao...
Let's see... 11 years ago... I'm 34 at present time... (counts fingers) Yea, I was about 23 when I started. I grew up a skinny kid. 6'1" and 147lbs was my all time low. Started training at 19, just outta high school, brought my weight up to about 200, and said screw it, and scored myself some Deca and D's at 23... never looked back.

30 years old. Genetics sucked so bad, I was lifting harder than anyone else in gym, but gaining little to no mass, and some strength. At my worst I was 6"2 150lbs. Impossible plateaus, and calves and biceps that would not grow no matter how I trained them, how much i rested, ate, etc. First cycle I gained over 25 lean lbs using non-aromatizing compounds, training just as hard, so I know my form wasn't the problem.
Gear is the #1 reason I haven't given up entirely, which in the long run means I'll be healthier. Currently I'm 200lbs, but a little fat, I figure I should be 185 shredded.

Started when I was around 27. Never even thought of using gear before and was clueless about it. But my training partner got hold of some deca (think it was the 50 mg amps). I was scared shitless of needles and never heard of deca but he convinced me that it was very safe etc and it was low dose. The 3 of us went back to his place and shot each other. Did 1 amp/week for 6 weeks. Best cycle ever, gained about 15 lbs and kept about 12.

started a year and half ago at 36. at that age natural hormones start to diminish. Lost a bunch of fat within 4 months and now starting to build. My body has been reshaped. Id worked out for about six months before starting. I don't care what anyone says its never too late to start. A lot of guys say you should lift for 5 years before starting but none of those same guys were 36 when they started. At 36 you better get started before its too late and you end up looking like Arnold does now...LOL

I was personally sick of losing half a year of progress for taking a 2 week vacation; kept becoming more and more demoralizing.

I started at 37 after 14 years of training naturally. I had done tons of research since my early 20's but had hard-headedly decided to hang on to being natural as long as ANY results would keep happening. At 37 I had plateaued for 2 solid years, so that was that.
My only regret is not starting earlier. 30 would have been perfect.
will start this month :)
already 6'2" 235
