What are you guys and gals using? Do you believe that the isolate is so much better? I have always used a concentrate or a blend of both.

Isolate has no carbs, so works well for dieting and the lactose intolerant.

When not dieting I have generally been just as happy drinking vast quantities of milk. Next year however I'm going to try pretty hard not to go over 12/13% body fat so I won't be adding milk back in.

I use TrueSupplements.com 100% whey isolate because I don't want to risk messing with my lactose intolerance. It's more expensive, but I like "clean" protein with negligible fat, cholesterol, and carbohydrates. I can get my carbs elsewhere... this stuff is fantastic.

TS whey blend as well. Very low carb and fat. I don`t see the value in buying isolate as I really doubt it`s gonna make that big of a difference if you can stomach the blends.

^^ i agree for the most part, but not all blends are created equal. since i have been in school my budget has been cut drastically and i have been forced to use blends and some of them that i have tried have been absolutely ****ing gross. to date i have yet to try an isolate protein that left me feeling bloated or nauseated, so if you can afford it iso is better IMO. TS whey blend is good, im using it now.

Same for me, isloate or blends. If I use the cheapest stuff the rippers are unbearable. lol

An advantage of using a concentrate,is the price.Other than that most of them mix like shit, give you extreme gas, taste like crap and have carbs and fat in them.

Isolate is better because its almost alll protein and usually mixes and tastes good. But its way more expensive.Like someone said, the whey blend is the best bang for your buck in my opinion

I've used both and haven't noticed a difference. Though I used good quality concentrates.
