multi vitamin

*creatine or a new/other supplement once in a while to play with.*

I used to take lots of shit. HMB, zma, calcium, vit-e etc etc etc.........

Eat right and take a multi vitamin and all you need for supplements are things that you have trouble with IN YOUR DIET. Like eating enough protein or carbs, or if you don't think your eating enough fish etc etc.....

Do your best with food. Fill in the missing gaps with supps. Don't think having 10 bottles of different vitamins and minerals are going to make a difference if your eating right. Nutrition stores are a business. Most of the shit is to fool people and just make $ from them. Their advertizing is in the mags etc. It's honestly 95% un-necessary with a good diet. Just buy the basic supps and something once in a while to have fun IMO.

Tell her ya can giver her more than the vitamins. Tell her she can have tube steak, salami or kielbasa, as its just her luck that you're in the meat delivery business, and you guarantee same day delivery!

I eat well and am sure I get my RDI of most if not all the essential vits/minerals. Problem is, alot of studies have demonstrated that RDI is not adequate (in many cases NO WHERE NEAR adequate) for optimal benefit. It simply prevents deficiency problems that are more or less apperant in the short term. And you don't get coq10 and r-ala through the diet, but they are very benefitial to take if trying to optimize your health (there are a great many studies to back this up).
I would agree with you when it comes to protien intake etc, but not when it comes to a number of other select nutrients. There are many (not all) that are more beneficial for health when taken in doses that are impossible to get from diet alone.

I said "if you eat right." meaning eating right for bodybuilding purposes. I did not say the rdi is the right way to eat.

I agree. If there is a nutrient that you can not get in your diet alone, thats a smart time to consider a certain supp to fill that gap. I already mentioned that. I am not 100% against supps. I do use some and I have used r-ala and may again in the future.
