How important is a guys size/physique to women?

Most men would emphasize the importance of a good physique in a woman when picking out a girl to date/pursue a relationship. I just wonder if this translates to women at all, when you see some extremely hot woman with a fat guy or some skinny nerd, you tend to question how important physical form really is to women... so a simple pole.

How important is it to you women that a guy is ripped or in good shape? 1 being not important at all, 10 being you wouldnt date a guy unless he looked wicked in a bathing suit...

The thing with guys IMO, we are more concerned with physical attributes of our significant others. Women on the other hand are more concerned with the whole picture . . . respect, honesty, support, faithfulness, looks, financial stability. Don't forget women look at us as potential fathers of their children. So I believe that looks are needed but not as much of a concern as with men though.

It changes guy to guy for myself. I mean sure there are guys out there that have low bf% and look great, but then there are the guys out there that have a little higher BF% and still look great. The one major thing I look at in ANY guy is really werid, but its teeth. You could look like Brad Pitt with a eight pack, but if you smile and your teeth are yellow, crooked as hell and just plain nasty. I am outta there like white on rice.

Looks always will play a part in finding that special someone, be it for a short time or a long time. I mean honestly I believe for it to work for any amount of time, you have to be physically attracted to the other person.

what a biased poll this. I mean even if all the girls answered tmost of them are into health and fitness so they are more likely to what someone who is healthy looking and fit. Of course a girl that is working out and all that is goign to want more of a guy that is the same. But the avg girl who eats like shit and is obese is not going to be so concerned with a guy having a 6 pack. And height is improtant, I always have to overcome that. you just agreed with what I said. you are 5'9.5 and you just said the guy needs to be 5'7 or taller. meaning the guy doesn't even need to be your height. What I said was that short girls want a guy who is at LEAST a foot taller than them. that would be like you limiting to 6'9 and up.

You're bar is 5'7, short girls bar seems to be on average 5'10. So another example of a taller girl with a lower bar than a short girl.

i havent found height is an issue.. i'm 5'6 and dated girls that were 4'10, 4'11 and 5'0.. and as tall as 5'9 and 5'10...

...guilty of being a shorty that wants a tall guy. Dated a guy my height and it just felt weird. I like the feeling of being "taken care of" and for some reason, a taller guy ( and bigger helps!) fits the bill.
Personally, I prefer a lean physique - swimmer or boxer-type with nice legs and a tight bum. Even when I was skinny-fat, I preferred a fit male. I can certainly appreciate a muscled physique, but I draw the line at chicken legs.
