I'd like to know this too as I don't know much about supplements from canadian companies. Maybe it would be a bit logical to support our own??

Six star products are sold from Mississauga, Ontario. Not too sure if they're canadian though. I used their Glutamine packs but have since switched over to Muscletech (a huge US company).

Freebsd1977,
Iovate is the parent company of MuscleTech AND 6 Star. Iovate is a Canadian company not a "huge US company." Basically, you just switched from 1 MuscleTech product to another.

Canadian would be...

Iovate - MuscleTech, 6 Star, Muscle Asylum...etc
WellNx Life Sciences - NxLabs (formerly NxCare), Slim Quick Laboratories...etc
AllMax
Interactive and QSE (I think those are the letters...but still one in the same) and Progressive - Interactive makes many store brands - they make several of GNC's products (Whey Iso Burst...etc), Nutrition House, Good Health Mart ... etc
PVL and West Coast Naturals - also make the protein at Booster Juice
Nutrabolics
BioX
Advanced Genetics
Strive

That's all I can think of at the moment but I'm sure more with come to me.

Magnum is also Canadian.
As for MT. The US is a MUCH bigger market than Canada. It's all about money. Generally, the US products are stronger. When one gets feedback on products they are most likely talking about US products. Those that don't know this in Canada will think they are getting the same product. Almost like bait and switch.

i always new they had two version one US and one canadian but it was kind of weird doing business with US first when they are base in canada.
so basicaly your saying if i had to launch my owned line of suppl. it would be better to do only business with us at first and do business with your owned country only when your well establish in the us?

I always buy Muscletech products from my local GNC and I've yet to see a Canadian label on one of their products. For example, my last purchase of nitrotech and celltech have the US product label with the US flag on it. Does this mean those are US blends? I understand that alot of great supps are banned in Canada because Health Canada is being paranoid, better to be safe than sorry but we do miss alot of great products up north. Order online I guess :D

If it has French language on the label then it is a Canadian product. Just because it has an American flag on it doesn't mean jack. All that is means is that they are trying to make you believe that it is an American product and that it will work better than something from Canada.

For people that are interested in trying Canadian Made products. I work for Nutrition Zone Products and we manufacture BioX in British Columbia. You can find it at GNC and Popeyes. We have a variety of time release proteins, iso/con blends, Isolates, gainers and bars. For any questions just drop me a line or e-mail me.

I think it had something to do with them not being able to get approval to sell in Canada from the Canadian food and drug administration.

was just about to add AOR.. great for sure... good thing about going canadian is that soon or maybe even now all health products need to have a registered NHP number.. at least i think something like that is being put in place to regulate supplements

PVL also makes alot of other companies proteins and products, just like interactive does.

I always laugh when people say PVL sucks, then list what company they use and it usually turns out to be a company that PVL makes the stuff for.

I used to know the main sales rep for Allmax. He lived in TO but frequented my neck of the woods. I used to swill that stuff like it was going out of style!
I used to work for a few BN stores and became involved in a company called Pharnaceutical Grade after BN was done. I sold and swilled that stuff too and sold a bunch of it. Its was called Whey2 or Whey squared.

They both seemed to work alright, although after awhile bashers became to appear bashing the PG line. Not sure if this was due to product quality or company ethics. Glad I'm out of that biiz, pissed me off too much. I'd spend so much time helping potential buyers and then they'd walk without buying!

I remember when Muscletech first came out with their ads in Musclemag about 10-11 years ago, with the outragous claims. One of them said they were looking for people to try their product and they had a number to call to partake in their study. So I called, and the guy I spoke to told me that they had all the participants they needed, but I could buy some products if I wanted. When he found out I was in Canada, he told me something like they didn't have approval to sell in Canada yet, but they should soon. He said I could still order something and they would send it as soon as they got approval. I can't remember the exact conversation, but it went something like that. Being young and naive, I did send money and order their "Muscletech Stack" which consisted of Creatine 5000, Acetabolan, and Hydroxycut. Lo and behold I did get the stuff a few months later. (I can't remember how long it took exactly)

But anyway, when I used the products they didn't do a damn thing for me.

Yes, PVL does make other's proteins. Off the top of my head I know they make the protein for Booster Juice.
