Flames have traded defenceman Dion Phaneuf, forward Fredrik Sjostrom, and defenceman Keith Aulie to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for forwards Matt Stajan, Niklas Hagman, Jamal Mayers and defenceman Ian White.

Now the Leafs are trading Toskala and potentially another player for Giguere.

Im not a leafs fan but the only complaint is now they are lacking up front and Kessel has nobody to play with now that Stajan is gone. ALTHOUGH theres tons of all-star players coming up this offseason. Should be interesting to see what Burke does to get some kinda playmaker.

Leafs will still be shit in the short and long term. Nothing will make a difference. Desperate.

I dont know this could have been a really really good trade. Their defense is much improved although they still need to get rid of boucheman. Goaltending hands down is improved. Although with with Blake and Stajan gone they will need to acquire some UFA this upcoming offseason. They have more then enough cap space now for it too.

Dion Phaneuf will be a great addition to the team.... To bad they're cursed for life.
