no vid... Belt, no wraps. It was pretty simple I went straight down and stayed there. back was solid and knees stayed where they belonged. I just didn't have enough jam to get back up. My current pr is 405 from about 3 weeks back. For a while my back was weak and I was folding but GM''s and RDL's fixed that and got me from 385 for 405 @ 220. For now I'm pretty sure I just need to get my legs stronger.

Your 635 looked nice and clean, a bit of a butt wink on the second rep but the first was picture perfect.

WTF is a "butt wink"? lol

Watch your ass around second 56.

ummm still not sure? but I know the weight went down and up again. lol is a "butt wink" a bodybuilding term?

tiramisu

I have no idea the source, I'm pretty sure I've read too many of Mark Rippetoe's squat form checks, that little butt pump at second 56 is the start of your form breaking down. On the first rep your hips held in place like a machine. On the second you either lost your concentration a little bit or that's your current weak point.

Either way as you said it went up and down all the way by anyone's definition.

Maybe it was a FART? I was gasy that day.:fart
I dont know man, I just lift the weight. I know I had more in me and my feet were going numb from the wraps and taking too long to set up but as I like to say: "you do what you do and thats what you did"

Its where the hips tuck UNDER at the bottom of the squat boys. Unnecessary strain on the lower back, BUT it is hard to prevent sometimes at near max weights.

That looked ****ing easy dude way to go!

just because he is lifting massive amounts of weight doesn't mean he is PERFECT.. it was a simple observation/constructive criticism... any athlete looking to improve should be open to these types of comments.

I'm sure he'd be open to comments by his peers. Not people who barely squat half that. Thats like me taking advice from the guy who struggles for 3 reps while benching 225.

That looked nice and smooth. My max rep attempts are always really slow.

True nate, but you dont have to squat 600 plus to visually see form falling apart at the bottom and so, it was pointed out to him that his hips were rounding. It is a pretty small issue and a pretty brilliant lift i might add.

i am almost banging out reps of 405 and im right on 181lb... ratio is about the same there :p

Looked like perfect form to me. I couldn't even walk that out and I'm doing 405x12. Anything 455+ is too scary for me. Nice lifting!!!

I've gone up to 470lbs for 8 reps but I`m sure my technique was off, I have been squatting lower weight and dropping my ass more than I used to.

Well well well, all I know is I went down and I came back up. My form has been looked at by a couple close friends whom of which compete and one whom is the 2009 Ontario's Strongest Man and they all said the form looked bang on.

Drink less HATORADE and maybe you will get there one day to.

Jenn-beard had to be trimmed but is growing according to plan.

Dallas Hogan

Currently 305lbs but in the process of dropping to about 285-290lbs for the OSM (Ontario's Strongest Man) why you ask?

I think it would be cool if we had forum records (or rankings) in squat/dead/bench - proven by video of course. I'm coming for your squat record Dallas Hogan (well maybe in a couple of years) ;)

Well post a vid of your lifts and we will critique your form. regardless of a little supposed rounding of the hips, it went down and it came back up. It was a solid lift that deserves its props. there are too many haters out there who are quick to pass judgement on people for showing their accomplishments. put your money where your mouth is and post a ****in vid, talk is cheap.

You guys are taking his comment way too seriously...

Hogan, your hips did round under a bit on the second one but it still came up lightning fast. I think you just went deeper on the second than you did on the first. By the looks of that double I'd wager you're good for at least 675 in belt and wraps.
