Ordered some equipment parts from the US and it says Canada customs is holding it for review. Totally legit metal parts. How long does it take to clear. 2 days like that already. A little annoying if you ask me.

They make their own rules there. Sometimes they'll keep things for weeks with zero rhyme, reason, or explanation. You could probably order a clear plexiglass box, naked but for the shipping label, and yet still find it get held up. [shrug]
I ordered sleeves awhile ago and they kept it for quite some time. They were neoprene lifting sleeves - nothing illegal. I still wonder what the hell they were doing with them. At least I didn't get charged duty this time.

I had some camera lenses being held in Mississauga customs, I think it took them 3 days to release them back to Canada post. But I think that was a best case scenario. Only a couple of weeks ago, so that's recent.

Customs is hit and miss. I hope I don't searched on my reentry to Canada. They will find lots of Red Man in my bag if they do.

I have a friend who works for them....Guns are being smuggle into Canada any way and every way possible...in pieces and then put together here in Ontario, Canada. So particularly anything that may look like a pieces of guns or hand guns.....

Great.
Call em bud, sometimes they need to talk with you beforehand. At the very least that should speed it up, but 2-3 days MAX it should take.

That's right, call them. I had stuff sitting in customs and when I called they said they were waiting for a broker, I thought what?? Eventually I had to fax them a signed power of attorney to get my shit released but they sure aren't going to call you and ask you. Took me over a month to get a UPS overnight express pkg - $190 earings for my mom for Xmas.

i ahve been dealing with customs lately over capsule machines and caps. they call every single time and want to know what i am using them for. like christ u dumbasses u would think after the 2nd order to the same place u would know by now.
we sell them to people who encapsule there own vitamins.
blah. they look for every reason to keep a pack, especially when they think its used for other purposes. That drives me nuts, as its perfectly legal to buy and sell something, they shouldnt have the right to stop the package on a thought it might be used for something else.
bah, i could go on all day

With that kind of thinking, they should call you when you are ordering pens as you may decide to use it as a weapon and stab someone in the eye. Silly. I got my pack today btw :)

I second that and the revenue folks are crooks as well, not one is legit. Corrupt govt, go figure. I stopped voting for that very reason.
