After 17 years, Bernie made a come back to bodybuilding. He had an incredible first year back! He went through the level system in Ontario where he took 2nd in masters and 1st in middleweight at level 1, then took 1st in masters and middleweight in level 2, then at the Ontarios he won his masters class and 2nd in middleweight. Within one year he was at the national level! At his first nationals it was a very deep field of competitors in the middleweight class with many veteran competitors who were/are weight class champions already. He did an awesome job representing!
