So Im trying to put an order together to give a couple products a whirl and there are taxes on my order....?

I thought there were no taxes / duty / brokerage fees of any kind? What tax am I paying and WHY am I paying it at all?

Is this an error?

Because you pay taxes on any product you order.
They mean taxes as in taxes to come across the border.

so are you saying there is taxes, or isnt taxes?

false advertisement is false advertisement, whether you get free shit or not IW

edit: just ran a mock order it appears there is GST (i think but it is 6% and not 5%) on the product (not sure why as it is an american purchase) and a $40 shipping charge which would be your brokerage and shipping combined, so they just hide your fees in the shipping charge....

lol oh trust me, you're paying for brokerage. it is just hidden in the shipping fee...

And I am completely fine and un-angry for your information haha (npp is on its way though Lol)

your sig reads: (no customs/duty tax fee's at all)

there is a $40 shipping charge, and a $6 tax

why dont you change it to read (all brokerage and duty charges included in shipping). this would be much more effective and less misleading imo.

whats the $6 tax btw?

Pls PM me when npp arrives....lol...
i have no idea what the tax is, i know you pay tax for everything that comes into the country...What my sig means is....No customs fees, no broker fees, no duty...So what you pay for is what you get.....
Have you ever ordered something from somewhere all paid in full you assumed, then it arrives and before you get it you have to pay duty, and border taxes...??
I have.....So what you pay up front is all you pay for..

I ordered a juiceman juicer at 3am once from an infomercial and the damn thing was double the price with broker fees and border tax and duty......It sucked, and i only usd the juicer a couple times as it was a hazy eve when i ordered it...lol
No conspiracy here wade et al.....

Wade summed up my concerns pretty well. I have no ulterior motives at all, as TP offers some supps I simply do not have access to through our distributors.

My shipping charge plus the taxes makes it not worthwhile to order it.

Again, what was it you ar attempting to order that the shipping is killing you on???And the tiny little tax you speak of can be remedied by putting in a discount code, and then some....

Im trying to order a combination of things, some for me, some for my roommates. They are picking up some protein and I am picking up several things.

I just got an email from one of the customer service guys and he is telling me that all the Duty, Brokerage, and Taxes are included in the shipping fee.

I feel that "pay no duty/taxes/brokerage fees" is misleading. I would still like to order from this company as the products are high quality (I tried some samples), but the "shipping" charges are murder.

Even while splitting the costs on shipping...????
To each their own i suppose, i dont get it, especially if ordering with buddies...lol....
protein will be much higher than your supplements as far as costs, as it is based on weight....I still dont get your point , sorry i guess im thick....

With whom did you speak that told you they were included, as id like to find out more also....Pls let me know and ill pass the question on, and get our answer...

it is nice to have the brokerage taken care of in the initial bill instead of afterwards as I too have been stung.

lol dude i already have the answer, the guy just told me. i have no issues with this company or the products as i was actually hoping to use them and enjoy them, its just not cost effective when shipping is factored in. if i lived in the U.S. it would be different.

... at the end of the day you need to compare the all in price of your order against the competition. If TP doesn't win on commodity purchases then you should buy someone elses stuff. If TP has something you want that others don't sell then you pay. My Inzer belt is a good example, I got raped for duties, brokerage, and shipping but I had to have my inzer forever lever.

TS does free shipping over 99. Again you can be sure that the shipping is buried in the price, just like anyone else nothing is free. Add up the total price of the order shipped to your door and make your decision.

use them, or you are no longer my nephew......lol, jk:)

Im only trying to understand exactly what you ar having problems with....So i can ask the question on your behalf, and get a proper answer...I saw taxes, now shipping charges, wasnt sure what it was, but seems as though you have recvd the answer you are looking for......

As always....good post......:)
Thats what i do.......If TP, doesnt have something, ill go to Physiques site, or i would go to Truesupps site.....
Quality and availability are key factors for me....I understand some of us are students, and price is absolute...Nothing wrong with that, as ive been there as well.....

As a business they pretty much have to charge tax.
As for hidden brokerage fees, maybe a tiny bit, but not really.
I just went to UPS and calculated 20lbs 12x12x12. I put the value at $180 once and $20 another time. Itwas $39 for the $180 value and $36.50 for the $20 value.

what you pay for UPS, and what TP pays shipping hundreds of parcels a week is VERY different.

UPS has some of the worst residental rates out there...it wouldn't be that far off.

From what I understand, if they are doing the business in Canada through Canada, they have to charge you tax (GST only if not out of the province they do business and PST + GST if in the same province). They are not allowed to hide that tax in the price. It's against the law here to do that.

But I'm not sure how TP has their business set up so maybe it's best to wait for the final answer from IW after he speaks with DC.

I dont think the shipping changes whether it be US or Candian destination. When you put in your order the charges are there calculated regardless of your location. I just think its all on the weight and a flat fee according to weight. Or so one would think when placing an order because my price doesnt change if I enter my US or Canadian address.
