I woke up famished at 4 am the other night and gulped down a nice shake, and was slightly hungry when I woke up at 8. This morning I didn't and was extremely famished/voraciously hungry when I got up in the morning. I think my body is in overdrive right now, on Primo, Eq, Var, T4, HGH, IGF, and really intense lifting.
Seems like a good idea to avoid the nightly fast and have a 50gr whey shake in the middle of the night. Any of you guys do this?

Yup, i pre mix my shake and keep it on the night stand, when i wake up at about 2:00 AM with the growlies i throw the shake back. Don't even have to get out bed.

throw some flax oil in it to slow absorbtion then youll get a slower steadier supply through the rest of night.

I used to drink 1.5l of water b4 bed so i would get up in the middle of the night to have a shake.

casein
Funny you mention this, I just read a research paper in this months Ironman mag claiming to have a half cup of low fat cottage cheese before you hit the sack or you can go the $$$ way and drink a casein protein shake and that will keep your body nourished throughout your sleep. Apparently we lose about 70-80 calories for every hour we sleep and if you go hungry to bed, your muscles will be used to feed that hunger.
