Get your ass down to shoppers and buy all the tuna you can carry before the pensioners get it all.

Flaked? Too bad it tastes so much worse than solid albacore tuna for $2 ea.

I'll say this, the albacore or white tuna, is higher in mercury than the light tuna. So consider that a benefit that goes along with it being cheaper. I've tried the albacore, and I really don't like it as much. Too solid. I like to mush it up with some salad dressing and hot sauce, or horseradish, lemon juice and ketchup.

I also heard somewhere that flaked tuna was better for you than chunked since it usually comes from the smaller fish who haven't had as much time to take on mercury.

For my own reference, isn't this about the same as regular price for tuna at Superstore?

Superstore. Good deals, but I seldom go into the place. I find it a zoo and hard to find things. And if you can't find it, good luck getting assistance. I guess I'm not a good grocery shopper. $0.69's a good price, not a wicked deal, but a good price. I think they had it for $0.50 / tin once.

Walmart has great prices on tuna. I buy the cloverleaf flaked light tuna in veg oil. It has 30 g of protein, just 3 g of fat and low in sodium and you can't beat the taste. It's my daily just-woke-up meal of 2 boiled eggs, whole can of tuna and 1 slice of whole wheat bread. Great start to the day I say and you don't have to push through the geriatrics at Shoppers Drug Mart.
