I'm fighting in the Abu Dhabi trails in Montreal on March 6th. Anyone else fighting or going just to watch?

Winners of the Purple, Brown and Black belt divisions win a paid trip to Dhabi for the Pro World Championships....

Should be very exciting!

Looking at your avatar, when does BJJ have strikes? seems silly.

Depends on the club bud. The art of BJJ has no strikes but the club has "striking" mixed in with BJJ as MMA. The avatar was just an image I found and liked it, no real meaning behind it.

at ma club we have BJJ Gi, Submission Wrestling, MMA, Kick boxing class. So you can do just striking, or just BJJ, you can do MMA, or just BJJ without gi. we have 2 class of judo as well, but I really don't do well with judo.

Couple guys from my gym are heading down, im not really into the gi thing but do train in one occasionally and have my blue belt, id rather just train mma, lots of peoples jiu jitsu skills go right out the window when you punch them in the face.
