Anybody check out the grand opening for the new Snap Fitness there on the wkend?

impo it is a so called "yuppy" type gym BUT does serve it's purpose for those who work wacky hours, as it is a 24hr gym

None of the snap's I've looked at have a squat rack so that pretty much makes them useless for me.

Checked it out tonight, they do have a squat rack. Its not to bad, mostly all cybex equipment which is pretty nice stuff. Hopefully a new gym will spur my dump into replacing the stuff grimek worked out on with some new equipment.

Why do you live in a small town and have a 24h gym..... not fair, twice as many people where I live and nothing.

the Hat isn't all that small really CI, well big enough to warrant another gym there ;)

the prices are quite fair for a 24hr, I pay $50 per mth, and an extra $20 for tanning..

This is our second 24hr gym AFAIK. We arent a small town, i think were at about 65k in pop right now. Then we have redcliff (which is essentially a burb of the hat) has about 7k

I got a 2 week free membership in Fergus, Ont, when I came back from B.C. about a year ago. I gotta tellya bro, one of the worst gyms I've ever used, and I only used it cause i was only there for a week. No smith, DBs to 110, and some chick telling me I needed a spot with 465 in the power rack. Alright then. Don't know about yours but the one I used I'd never use again. Sissy ass gym for fatties IMO.

There is another gym in Fergus called Definition Fitness. I've never been there but I occasionally work w/ the owner and from what I have heard it's not a bad gym.

If i remember correctly they wanted $18 a workout. Working out is what I do but I'm not stupid. Least I hope not. :)

I don't blame you, it's a rediculous price. They probably want people signing up rather than dropping in. The one cool thing about that gym is you can get an access card and train 24/7.

And with a population of 25,000 they need those one year memberships. :)

that gym is garbage. no changerooms. tanning is extra. 50 dollars a month. sign up fees and 24hr card fees. not for me. very small. music is to low. just my rants though.

that bullshit, I am near 24h but never thought I'd have to pay extra to get the whole "24 hour" part.

Isn't no smith machine a good thing?
