Step up, lads! Post your previous poll results, bear in mind we can check results, cheaters!!

Im 2-0 so far, but this one is a MUCH tougher choice. Great wrestler in Hendo vs Great striker in Silva, with a dangerous guard!

So......choose!!!

BTW, never made a poll before, so if this ****s up it would be nice if a mod deleted this for the proper post!!

ah, 4 on 1 is it??? Ill take ya all on!!!!

Either way, this fight will be CLOSE! Two great fighters!

Curious, how many of you saw Hendo fight in pride, and how many only were introduced to him since he hit the UFC?

you mean, who has been living under an MMA rock?:D

i had the opportunity to train with Shawn Tompkins recently and his opinion on the fight was "Anderson Silva is a bad fight for anybody right now".

for those that dont know, Shawn is currently Couture's(among others) trainer and he trained Hendo in his successful pride days.

I watched hendo knock wand the **** out and take the belt and have been watching him for years in pride. Still gonna be a tough fight for him.

Hendo is a top notch fighter, I put nothing past that guy. I feel Silva is unstoppable at this point in his career though, and for a while to come. People always refer to Silva owning Rich Franklin twice but honestly Franklin is not even in the same class as Silva. He was lucky to even get that belt, the talent in middle weight was so shitty for so long, he just happened to better then the rest. Enter Silva.

I remeber silva's first fight with chris leben said he was gonna send silva back to japan. LOL. I hate chris leben.

no, at this point i just talk like i do.

tbh, i dont train ground very much because i always wind up with some kind of injury. i much prefer to stand.

that said, i spent last weekend training with bart vale. he's a funny guy. i managed to pick up some cool tips. lol, a guy he was showing something to told him to be careful because he had a pulled muscle. bart asked him if he needed to change his tampon.

Oh were you at that Vale seminar out east i heard about? How was it?

And yeah, grappling training wreaks havoc on your body. Striking is FAR easier on your body.

Or, on mine anyway. I really enjoy getting on the mats, but wow do i pay a price for it when im there

Silva's standup is just too crisp. If Henderson can get him down to the ground he has a chance.

I'm uncomfortable with this decision as Silva's a great fighter and Henderson is also a great fighter. I watched more of these guys over the past week and decided to go with Silva because he's at the top of his game and oozing confindence. I did see him beat the shit out of an asian guy only to be submitted by a spectacular last effort attempt by the asian. If anyone has a link to that vid, they should post it up. Great match.

he was submitted in pride in 2003 and 2004 by two asians. ryo chonan with a flying scissor heel hook and daiju takase with a triangle.

its was a walk in the park! Silva submitted two-time Olympian Dan Henderson with a second-round rear naked choke:D

MuSuLPhReAk

Was a good fight. In the first round, I thought Silva was in for a long night after the ground and pound work by Henderson. In the second, after the knee to the head, it never seemed like Henderson could recover. Good victory. 3-0 in my guessing :)

Next main event is GSP VS Serra.

That was NO walk in the park. Hendo had round one easily. Great win for Silva, only GSP is even close in the P4P best in the world contention now.

And the flying heek hook is probably the BEST submission Ive ever seen in MMA......minus the scissoring towads the end lol.

But iwas wrong - Hendo now is no the Hendo of a few years ago. His best deays may be behind him, but his last tow losses are to current champions....no shame there.

Mr.Freeze
02-03-2008, 01:05 PM
it was a walk in the park! look at first round silva was on his back and the only thing Hendo was doing in that position was putting his hands on his mouth to cut is breathing WOW that a good champion! And if you look closely every punch Hendo was launching he was at the same time looking down or turn is face away to be sure not to get punch and on silva side, look at him in second round every time hendo was punching him, he never blink an eye a single time so he could never lose track of his opponent! Like Silva said he was not surprise at all cuz When Hendo started trainnig for MMA i was already Champion so......

Now the only guy i see that could beat the spyder would be GSP! the spyder would have to loose a few pounds but i think its the only one left nears his weight class who has the tools the Spyder other then that silva is in a class of his owned!! Anybody ever see the Spyder in action in Valetudo?:D
