so i was all set in my mind that i wanted to do a natural body building show by the time i reached 19 or 20. well after the last 7 or 8 months i have learned it is soo hard, and i am no where near where it takes to compete. for everyone that does i give you enormous amounts of credit. i tried to do it the fast way and learned even faster it doesn't work and takes alot of time and hard work. i put in the work but it seems like the results just aren't there so i got help. delt king will be training me and hoping he can transform me i have alot of faith and he is a very nice guy

so as of now i am around 15 % body fat. pics don't do any justice but i do need to work on alot. my goal is to be around 7% body fat by late may.

i am 18 years old
starting weight is 205 lbs 15% bf ish
goal is what ever weight at 7% body fat and to maintain and build more lean muscle. my futue goals at this time is to just lean out and then re evaluate.

Good work getting a professional man, takes the guess work out of it and helps to have someone holding you accountable.

One thing about the pics, and I've learned this too... if they aren't doing you justice... then it's just not there... it's always a big reality check for me when I see my pics, but they're so valuable a tool to gauge progress.

Good luck man, I'm hoping you update regularly on the journey.

ya i do work out there in hamilton the upper james and rymal one.. and ya i thought that it was a good idea to get someone who knows what they are doing and delt king deffinitely does so im really excited to see what happens.. and ya as for the pics i want to look ripped no matter what lighting or surrounding just want to be cut lol no excuses.

Well you're on your way Matt.

Competing is not for everyone that's for sure. It took me plenty of years of trying before i felt i was good enough to step on stage and not feel like i looked silly.

Keep up the hard work bro and you'll achieve your goals. Forwarded more info to you today.

Last August i trained in two different Good Life's gym in Toronto,but now i don't remember exactly the specif places,anyway my opinion is that Good life has very good gyms(for sure much better than Italy's gym),maybe X-treme's gyms are better but my cousin said that x-treme is much more expensive than Goodlife.However i wish you lots of luck with your training,and i hope that you will reach your goal.

ok so did my chest workout yesterday was less than i am used to but i feel i was over training before.. i pushed myself every lift making the most out of it.

today was back went really good again every different excersise i did to my limmit upping thr weight while staying in my rep range.

doing 20 min cardio every workout at around 120 bpm
tomoro is diet time can't wait been eating so much last few weeks so i could shock my body...and this diet is perfect by means of meals for timing throughout my schedual. delt king planned it perfectly for me.

My cousin told me that you can pay also for a whole year,but i don't remember exactly the price maybe about 250-300 canadian dollars.Anyway,in Italy i pay 25 euro per month,about 40 canadian dollars,and my gym is not like Good Life even if is no bad because is a 70s style gym,with lots pictures of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Delt King is helping me out as well he`s a great coach.. Just give it time laslo u will definitely reach ur goals working with DK..When he gave me my nutrition layout i thaught that he was crazy but i didn`t second guess him and i have put on quality size since starting... I didn`t think that it was possible at first but im getting closer and closer to my goal.. Im going to start a thread on myself as soon as i find my pics..

so far workouts are going good...diet started yesterday and it feels so good to be eating clean and on track again. i ordered supplements from true supplements.com and so impressed with them order was done monday night and all of my stuff will be in today so that is a 3 day ship in my opinion very impressed with that.. especially if i needed stuff right away because i as running out they would have it fast... and i ordered quite a bit of stuff.

staying motivated got through the first week no problems pushed everyworkout and and even set some new pr's... diet has hit me today i was pretty hungry during my 2 - 2.5 hour gaps between meals but did not cheat once. :) will be nice for a weekend off of training .

ok so starting to get used to the less food in my diet.. all of the bloating has gone because my abs are showing through more then before, so guessing all water weight there. i will weigh in tonight at the gym after my chest workout.

so i have a throat and ear infection so last two days have sucked so bad no gym, and havn't been eating on track at all. my medication makes me have no appetite and no food looks good to me. i don't want to force down stuff on my diet because i'm scared i wont be able to eat when i am better because i will be reminded of the gross sick taste... but tomorrow i will be on track and hopefully at the gym as well . progress was going so good too imo. sucks that this had to interrupt but i guess better early then late in the game.

ok so back to it today my first meal was hard to get down the eggs and oats were tough but i got the eggs down and 3/4 of the oats so pretty happy.. workout was good i was a little sluggish near the end but pushed out everything i had in me felt good to be back in the gym . got a digital scale yesterday so will be keeping track of weight not that it matters much to me but the progress and changes i'm sure will come due to those numbers.

ok so weighed in today at gym (same scale i used for first weigh in) im at 199 lbs so down 6 lbs this could be due to some water weight and i was sick but hopefully some fat loss there too :)

The little cheats happen, it's tough to stay 100 focused all the time. If and when they happen though, you've got to get back on the horse and not let it ruin the whole day. NEVER say "i just cheated i may as well keep cheating!"

ok so had cheat meal last night boston pizza and granola for dessert loved every minute of it. back to weights tomoro weight was at 194.5 before cheat meal.

ok so weighed in tonight at gym 2 days after cheat meal up 4.5 lbs ... hoping it will come off by weekend delt king has faith it will and he hasn't steered me wrong yet. cardio has been upped to 25 min, and changes are going very well in my opinion delt king sure knows his stuff!

ok so been a while since i posted up but here are the two week updates.. progress is still coming along current weight is 192 as of yesterday, so weightloss slowed down a bit but big chnages have been made by delt king for next week im definitely going to be pushing harder than ever... i have stopped the little cheats completely and have been smack on the program, its game time and i want those abs.. the leaner i get the more i am looking forward to next winter and puting more size and strength on, but one goal at a time. porgress in pics i think is still there not as dramatic as first two weeks but here are the pics

Right on man. Glad to see you giving it your all andtrying to be at your best. Good start to i can notice the improvments in no time. DK is working with me in my prep this year and his diets rock and he is always available if you got questions or concerns. He makes diets fit your life and goals not the other way around. You will see by my log this year how effective his coaching and contest prep strategies are i gaurentee it.

ok so been a while since my last update diet is going amazing the abs are comming in for sure. i will have pics up later this weekend, weight at start was 205 +/- current weight is 184.0 on the dot this mourning 6 weeks in and loving the diet 8 wks to go and when im done i leave for cuba so beach body is the goal still

sorry pics aren't up yet ... wow today has sucked just been a brutal stressful day and then i go to the gym my only place to get it all out and i have to cut my cardio 10 min short pissed me off so much... i know im not doing a bb show but i have 7 weeks to go and **** i want to make the best i can out of it... delt king has been amazing with the tweaks here and there and just amazing couldn't have asked for a better program and i would have never even been close to this far without him and im hoping to push even further the next 7 weeks, anyways ya tomoro i have to work an odd shift right after school but going to try and hit the gym between my classes hopefully have the time.

ok so i havn't been posting to much and been a litttle down on the cut but delt king is keeping me motivated i screwed up last week well not all week but one day and it made results go to shit for that week.. but this week at it again and wow am i ever fed up with cutting.. all these other guys doing shows and crazy cardio i cant even imagine how you do it .. but im going to keep my numbers here more to help keep me going and motivated so today weighed in at 185 last week to this week nothing has really changed weight wise but DK said next week will be turned up a notch less than 5 wks to go till vacation and im determined for the abs to peek nicely. and im not quiting even though 5 weeks seems like 5 months when cutting

thanks pics will be up tomoro 5 weeks ish out now and its game time dont know if i am a little behind or not probably am...but i have faith DK will still get me where i want to be.. i cant see the next 5 weeks being fun but will definitely be all worth it when cuba comes.. wieght after cheat meal was 187.2 i hate that feeling of next 3 days untill i come back down.. oh well it was worth it to be honest.

Man I know this feeling its the first real issue I am having since I had my surgery we just finished hiding all my daughters candy and took all my self control to not eat a choc egg those little bastards. They taste like crap anyway at least that is what I keep telling myself lol.

haha i know they do taste so bad compared to all the other stuff out there but they are everywhere lol but not cheating... my lower abs i have been telling myself were not there because of genetix well i was only fooling myself. they are deffinitely there as dumb as this sounds when i pull my fat down a bit they show and it is good motivation to get them popping with lowering the fat.. 24 days to go and lots of work for me but staying strong and getting all my workouts and meals in no matter how much planning is needed.

nooo wayy.. Looking great buddy. The trip is going to be insane. Take a tip from L3 and look great and bang a lot of tail on your trip. You looked sliced up hardd and everyones going to know it. Take a lot of pics and be confident in yourself. Show everybody what you worked for its been hard work.

Be thankful you have a supportive gf, some of us aren't that lucky :( BTW just mention all the envious looks girls would dish out when you are walking with her on the beach, makes her feel special i hope lol...

thanks dragon... and ya i am very greatful she is amazing and has supported me the whole way through... wow cardio 2 hours a day is rough lol and the cravings for granola are crazy.. this is homemade granola im talking here and i have been wanting it for over a week now!! but keep telling myself 3 weeks to go and all that cardio would mean nothing if i cheat so holding off but wow is this ever a mental game. i feel like an addict that needs his fix of granola ! lol

ok so i have not shit in like a week and 2 days so i buy some exlax says take 2 pills for adults so i take 3, go to bed wake up... tiny rabbit shit like wtf i know dieting makes you poop alot less but like is that normal ? cuz seems a little much.. anyways 19 days to go till trip and dying without a cheat meal, everyday i just plan out what i am going to eat for my cuban cheat meal. upper abs are in and very happy with those results just want a little more off the lower abs anyone give estimate on my bf from the last pics posted.. btw i dont have lower love handles blessed with the lovely genetix of wide ass hip bones making a v taper so hard to get.

ok so 175.8 this mourning so in just under 12 weeks down 30 lbs. crazy how much fat i was holding before and i wasn't even fat if you were to just look at me. dying without cheat meals but trying my hardest not to give in. i did have 7 chocolate chips today and about 5 yesterday though, dont think it did anything but still feel kinda bad but could have done worse... just want these abs to come in al ready lol... cardio has been only 1 hour last 2 days because been working 13 hour shifts and gym closed by the time i get off so that sucks but the 2 hours will be back on tomoro and all throughout next week 5 out of the 7 days. hoping i will end up at 168 for cuba and i figure in 17 days it is possible hopefully.

ok so 13 days to go and i am so sick of the gym at the point and dieting. i have learned alot about my body through this process and not going to lie i can't wait to bulk when i get back.. not because it is easy , don't think it is but really want to add strength and size for next year. the last few days i feel like i'm a zombie wake up do cardio, finish school workout then cardio, aswell as my food its just routine to me nothing more.. but so close to the finish now and very pleased with the results. i'l post pics before i leave. again all through this process pushing me forward has been Delt King, he has been amazing throughout all my bitching days or my wanting to give up days, just keeps me pushing forward and to me that is very important.

ok 12 days to go and im sick... another throat infection. i think my tonsills will have to come out because this is third one in 3 months... i cant even get antibiotics until monday.. so no gym for me today but going to stay spot on diet, wow this sucks.

ok so felt like shit this mourning but got some antibotics in me and some tylenol and had 2 popsicles.. so combo of those gave me motivation to get my ass to the gym today... felt bad about the popsicles, did my workout and cardio.. when i got home took my shower got out and there are 3 veins in my lower abs.. this is crazy for me and im so motivated now because it shows im so close i know that i probably won't get too much more in the next 11 days but will keep me on track for sure and every little bit helps.

ok so back from paradise it was amazing however... weight was 177 a.m before leaving, weighed in yesterday at 204... that would be a 27 lb rebound weight gain and i look like a whale lol... tried to keep my carbs relatively low but after 2 days that went to shit... but back to cutting hoping alot was water gain but the rest would be definitely fat. i had pics from the day before i left on my camera and all my cuban pics but on our last day my gf's camera got stolen and now no pics which was the only down part of the trip... but trying to get my abs and rest of body lean again. but still can't beleive how much weight i gained in 7 days. but i guess its all a learning process. and when my body is back down to where i was before i left or lower however long it takes hoping not more than 5 weeks, then i will be continuing working with DK on a lean bulk.

ok so 4 days and im down 14 lbs so im thinking that my water weight is off that i was holding, and now to cut the fat i gained.. 1 was 189 this mourning so 10 lbs to go then lean bulk with DK.

ok 182.6 today so almost where i want to be before lean bulk hoping to start in two weeks, try to get as much fat off as possible but holy crap am i ever tired of cutting, so it will be nice to eat bigger portions of food. but hanging in there i want to do this properly not half ass.

ok so lean bulk started last thursday... well kind of lean i guess. will be working with Delt King again no doubt in my mind his program will add some size on me. i got down to 182 lbs then ran out of fat burner, had a cheat meal and went up to 191 after 1 night. i am super carb sensitive and after cutting seems so much worse now. i got back down to 186 and then kind of binged for 2 days. and week later started lean bulking and even though for about a week now i have been eating clean i have been putting on the fat so fast again seems like it just keeps coming. no visible abs at all and everything is just pretty big and fat. sitting around 205 lbs which is where i was before cutting but i must say i look a little more filled out thought i was just retaining water but now i think its just fat packing on. anyways not worried about how i am looking right now my goal is to lean bulk for the next 8 months and hopefully put on enough size i can step on stage as a junior i really want to compete and will be pushing as hard as i can to get there so hoping i can do it. this is my first time bulking too before i was 250 lbs and fat so for last year or more i have been constantly trying to loose lets see how my body can gain with a clean diet.

Hey with nearly 50lbs more on yor body, jeans are definitly not going to fit properly anymore. I've got a crazy wardrobe sectioned from ripped to lean bulker to downright FAT. lol The things we do to ourselves. But in all seriousness, you're doing really well bro, just keep pushing them weights heavier as often as you can.
