View Full Version : Anything should be added to this bloodwork test?

So got the sheet from my doc, he checked some things, although just want to make sure theres nothing missed that might be of some importance. I read the sticky at the top there were a couple things missing on that list that were not checking but its because they werent even an option on the list that he filled out. Just want to make sure nothing is missed.

Were checking:
glucose
TSH
Creatinine
Sodium
Potassium
Chloride
ALT + AST
Alk. Phosphate
Bilirubin
Lipid Assessment (cholesterol, HDL-C, triglycerides, calculated LDL-C and Chol/HDL-C ratio)
CBC

Thats not even listen on the sheet. Should I just write it in under other tests? Would a doctor care if you add something extra in there?

Don't forget to jerk off in the little cup and give it to the nurse. It's mandatory for all bloodwork.

i handwrite stuff to the req sheet all the time.. chances are they wont remember, its not like they keep a copy of the form... my doc hasnt said anything either....remember to use the same ink color!

BUN, blood urea nitrogen....
Triglycerides...
PSA if in mid thirties and above...for prostate check, non finger....

Yea those things are listed on the sheet. So I dont think Im going to write on the sheet myself. Ill just ask the person whos going to take my blood to add them in.

Yea just asked today, so not too sure. Guess Ill just have to drive back to the doc;s office and see if I can get at least FSH and LH done

Just to let you know i'm taking this course and how to read a Req form,and just to let you know FSH,LH are test they do on Lady's,so chances are that your doctor won't have this test done.But you do have your TSH and that is your test Levels.I will ask my teacher tomorrow about tests on LH,and FSH for males,and if she ever seen a test like this done in her 18 year at a Lab.

Ya the site isn't canadian,and it will only let you pic Adult,not a man..
Under hcg the test is done for Pregnancy..
