where is the best place online. to get supps?
i have been looking at 8 of the bigger sites i found and they dont have everything im looking for.
for example i found most on one site, but they did not have any real good No2 products or fish oil. or if one has that than they are missing others.
im having such a hard time cause i like being as cheap as possible, witch normally means using bulk powders,(L-glutamine,L-argintine,AAKG,BCAA) and all i have found is sites with name brands, prepackaged in pills in bottles. wanting a $100 for one bottle of a product. i want to skip all the packageing and advertising and get the most bang per buck.
how do you guys buy all your supps?
now i understand im gonna get flammed and hear a hundred times use the SPONSORS. but i would like to get serious and maybe compete in the future witch means a steady supply of supps. and i cant do it on most of the prices im seeing.
anyhelp?....thankx again

How about the more important question. why are you buying so much pixie dust?
Not that tossing your money away isn't your own business but after you've found a decent whey powder and a little creatine the rest is just so much junk.

I`m being completely honest here, and this is from a guy who`s fine combed every single place out there. Even when comparing against the US sites and even with the fact the US exchange is in our favor now, TrueSupplements is the cheapest dude. I`m willing to bet trueprotein is competitive as well. But truesupplements have been good to me, the customer service is always fast and their packages take about 3 days to get to my door.

as a sponsor i am going to recomend truesupplements or trueprotein.com
that or order bulk powders from 1fast400.com in the USA

... I picked up 20 pounds of whey isolate from physique the last time he had good prices on a pallet (physique's service has always been excellent) and I also picked up 20 pounds from True Protein (also good service and an excellent product).
... I haven't bought from True Supplements yet but when they have a sale on isolate I will likely place an order.
With the isolate product it is essentially a commodity. If I can get around $10 a pound and a good shipping price I jump on it in volume.

yes i understand what you mean by pixie dust.
i just love a good no2 product, makes the gym fun instead of a chore. and the rest is cause you cant deny the study on fish oils, or creatine, glutamine.
ok how about this as a question. do you guys think all the supps are garbage and a waste of money?
i heard the expression of putting a supercharger in your car(AAS) and than asking if you should get the air freshner(supps) yes it will help but by how much?

the main reason, is cause im not growing like i should. witch means diet. what im putting in my body is not good enough?
so i thought if i work on my diet witch i have, if i also take supps that only give 1-2% growth. if i take a few of these that i could get 4-6% more growth. and we are trying to maximize the results.
for example i moved out of my App. to one bedroom room/board just to try and have more money for gym/food/supps/gear... i truely would like to compete so that 4-6% would be an advantage over the long run.

fish oil, creatine, whey isolate, multi vitamin, vitamin c, d.... not quite as convinced on the need to supplement glutamine.
I have a tough time justifying supplementation past that. I tend to prefer to give my money to the butcher and the fish monger.

If you're not gaining now then you're not eating enough! an extra 4% increase for hundreds and hundreds just doesn't make sense. Stick to the basic supps and concentrate your efforts on getting your diet in order. Trust me eating whack loads of clean food every 3 hours in order to grow is not easy but necessary.

i just love a good no2 product, makes the gym fun instead of a chore.
and here is your problem right here. No product is going to make the gym more fun or enjoyable. You have to want it. You obviously don't have the heart for this sport/lifestyle if you believe training to be a "chore".

Do you disagree with my sentiment?
Nate is right , the gym shouldn't be a chore . It will make it hard for anyone to go if they think they have to go instead of want to go.
We all go through points where we just dont want to and sometimes a supplement can help motovate you . For me when I feel like I just don't want to go anymore I take a week or two off , usually because it's sign of overtraining and my body / brain aren't into it .

Yup. Very different feeling. Sometimes you push through it and other times your body is screaming at you so you listen. But even when I am on a break I still miss it deeply.. crave it actually.
I hear yeah .
I like the break and I do look forward to getting back into it and after doing it for sometime now I usually come back stronger , so that's always a good motovation in itself.

Well I sure don`t see going to the gym as a chore, but saying he should play ping pong is kind of harsh. Maybe you were both being sarcastic in a sense, Big D saying it`s a chore, you responding with the ping pong reply, I dunno...
But mean to question the dedication of a man who moves into smaller living accomodations to have more money for bodybuilding kind of shows dedication in itself no?

holf **** nate you just stated it yourself how you have to push through a workout. sorry if i didnt use your choice of words.
i didnt mean it was horrible i just meant i feel alot more drive and pump with a No2.
sorry for asking for peoples advice who have been around longer than me. Prick
OK. Nate here is aquestion for you. why would you ever have to "PUSH" through a workout?
I mean the way you talk is like you cant learn shit from no one. but how can you learn anything, if you already know everything?
ya mods sorry for bitching, i just thought this site was here to ask question and get help?

If you want me real opinion on it? It shows stupidity. I will never, ever forsake my lifestyle for this sport. In addition to wanting to be natty as long as possible there was a reason I waited until I was to juice. To ensure I have the financial means once everything else was paid for to do things right and proper.
I will never forsake my living arrangements, vacations, investments, savings, etc to lead a bodybuilding lifestyle and if I ever am put in that position I will gladly hang up all the accessory things and bring it back to a bare minimum to continue in the gym even if it means having to cut back my food intake as well.
There is WAY more to life than bodybuilding in my opinion.
PS. I'm not trying to insult or call the OP stupid. I'm demonstrating a point and one that I am all too familiar with in what I see with my friends all so that they can look good.

Prick yes but it was you who incorrectly communicated the intent of your words. I only know what I read so when I read "makes the gym fun instead of a chore" it makes me believe you need something other than your own willl, drive and determination to get you to the gym.

I like Super Pump 250 for a pre-workput supplement, I add some whey and BCAA's with some fruit juice, seems to give me some extra energy. I just ordered 4 - 810g containers and they included a Gaspari Gym bag for $154.82 US (which includes the $35 shipping cost). I will let you know total cost once I pay the tax and exchange, but at is a good price. I have ordered from them before.

I got the point nate, I have been here long enough, I just find your cynical nature to be very humorous at times. The truth is I didnt disagree with the OP at all, when you take bodybuilding as a job that has to be done and you do it every day or everyother day it can become a chore sometimes, as much as I love working out I would be lying if I told you I hopped, skipped and jumped to every brutal workout in my life. Bodybuilding might be a passion or just a hobby, but the amount of dedication and sacrifice that you have to put forward to just gain a little muscle, let alone diet down and prep for contest is huge when compared to alot of other things, like model rockets, or arts and crafts. That is why so few succeed with their short term goals let alone their long term goals, its more comendable to admit that sometimes their is a lack of motivation instead of trying to come off as so hard core all the time, because in reality very few of us are hardcore.

Very professional as always Physique...And i agree........
Dont you have most supps anyone could want as well??
There are a few good solid sponsors on this board, we are lucky to have some great deals a click away...
Keep plugging away Big d....Hope the best for you.....
I get days where it is hard to drag my ass to the gym as well, and many times its good old fun and i get anxious for it...On my crappy days i try and take a few minutes and visualize the workout, and visualize the pump i crave...That seems to help...Some days one has extra stress and obligations, or shitty nights sleep, then it definitely feels like a job, and work, but that just shows dedication and ability to work hard........You have that bro, most definitely....I sometimes just blow a shift in the gym, and feel guilty afterwards, but soon realize it was necessary and sleep well, then its fun once again...

Dedication is one thing but let's face it few of us will ever realize a dream of making a sustainable living from this sport and I personally have never wanted to and a lot of my friends who have been training for as long as I and competing as well have no illusions of malking a living from this sport either but my friends will spend their paycheques on drugs, food, supplements, gym memberships. They don't or have never owned a house, barely have savings and spend more on gear in a year than I do on bodybuilding, hockey, and golf combined! lol
I take my training very seriously but I've also come to realize that it's not my life. I can have a life outside of bodybuilding too. Balance is important in a healthy life. Downsizing your living arrangements so you can afford to spend more on bodybuilding doesn't seem like a sound thing to do in my opinion especially when you factor in the likelyhood of said person never making a dime from this sport/industry.
Like I said, I am not intending to insult HeavyD. I was asked my opinion and I was honest in what I thought. Being big and in shape if you have nothing else in your life doesn't really matter that much.

I get all my stuff from bodybuilding.com. They just lowered their shipping costs to Canada, and because they ship USPS and they ship without a signature required, the order is dropped off and you never have to pay tax.
I order all my multi's, NO, creatine from them. I get my protein from cosco. Nothing against canadian suppliers, but no one was able to get within a reasonable distance from bodybuidling.com price. You can get a tub of No Xplode for $35, no tax. If you order 5-6 things the shipping cost becomes negligible. They only charge $15 for a big box of sups and you get free stuff with all your orders.

well thank you very much. when i first started lifting i was at BB.com, but moved on as they dont have homebrew anymore. anyway i looked at the supps. And yes this is the place for me. most places have 2-3 different brands in either pill or powder. and they have numourus brands and all supps i was looking for. i spent $340. US and shipping for it all $33. and the deals are great i got two large superpump 250, for less than i can get one here in my town.

Exactly, my PWO of choice is NO Xplode, I can get 2 shipped, for the price of 1 bottle local w/ tax.
I actually order more than I need and sell the stuff to my friends, I can tack 10-20$ on and they still get it for $20 less than a local supp place.
