nolvadex as a temporary ai?

can nolvadex be used as a temporary ai until arimididex comes in. I have high estrogen levels, but will nolvadex be able to lower them or it does nothing to your levels but block them in the breast tissue?

thank you delt king, i just wanted to see if there was another way to lower them. getting frustrated looking for arimidex now

It blocks estrogen from binding to its receptor. There are a lot of receptors in breast tissue, yes, but it also blocks it from binding in other parts of the body. You would be better off using an aromatase inhibitor but a SERM is better than using nothing IMO. Why do you need it, what symptoms of high estrogen do you have? Did you get a blood test to verify whether your levels are in range?
