Hi everyone, glad to see something on the net that is exclusive to Canadians! I also visit BB.com, great site but everything is geared to Americans, contests, product reductions etc, its not fair.

Anyway, I have been lifting for about a year. I was almost 200 lbs in 2006, didn't see the 200 mark because I had made a decision to not EVER see that on the scale!

On Oct 1st 2007 I quit smoking cold turkey, joined a gym that same day and have never looked back!

Now my goal is to achieve the body I have been chasing for oh most of my life I would say! Been a yo-yo forever, but lifting really made things start to change in terms of body size and shape.

I started training with a great trainer, and I had decided to start training for a figure competition, we were doing well, I was lifting heavier and heavier and then BAM! Well, not realy BAM because I should have stopped lifting when it started to hurt...but I didn't and now I am off work for 6 weeks already for tendonitis and its taking FOREVER to heal. There goes any hope of competing in anything I can't even lift a pillow now without being in pain! Anyway lesson learned! Once I am 100% back, I will start again, my hopes and dreams of competing in figure one day have not died completely! If I know my amazing trainer well, he won't let me give up! That guy really can kick my arse in the gym!

Anyway that's me and I hope to gain as much knowledge and info here as i do on BB.com! Except you all are Canadian and that makes it 10X better!:fwave

Glad to have you here. Just because you're training is down temporarily doesn't mean you can't stay on your diet and still do cardio and legs.

So true! I am working on that! You see, i have two alter ego's FATgirl, who has been in control for a long time and brownbikerbabe who is fed up with FATgirl and they battle it out, but FATgirl was laying lo until this injury happened and she completely took over, over the holidays! Eating drinking, not moving...Gained 5 kgs in fact! But it's Ok brownbikerbabe has kicked Fatgirls arse and we are all heading to the gym in a few...
