The 202 class should bring a lot of lighter guys that couldn't win against the mass monsters back out. It's fun to watch.

Prae, are you able to contact Jason? I'm having trouble with determining when he won his pro card. On one site it says 1990, and on another it says he won 1st and overall in the CBBF championships in 1993. I'm looking to confirm which year he got his pro card so there is no mistakes. If it is possible, it would be a big help to get the past straight.
Oh and if anyone has any more pics of him, it would be nice if you can post up. Not much on the net.

Thank you sir. It's good to have our own history correct :)
More than a few mistakes out there on the interweb.

I just wanted to post a behind the scenes look at Jason Marcovici and his prep for the Detroit Pro Show. For those of you who don't know him, Jason tore both his quadriceps tendons several years ago AND tore both of his bicep tendons in a separate injury. The doctors said that he was lucky to be walking, let alone training and competing again.
He started working with BodyAthletica a year ago and slowly began doing deep squats. We started with light box squats to get over the mental block and fear of a re-occurring injury, which for anyone who has seriously injured themselves it’s definitely not easy. Approx. 4-5 months later Jason hit 350lbs on a deep barbell squat. Not long after that, he decided to compete after a lengthy sabbatical.
We started contest prep 16 weeks before the Detroit Pro Show. Jay is not only a great athlete, but he is a perfect client. I don't think he complained once. In fact, many times he did cardio with his 4 month old daughter strapped on his back so she wouldn't cry, I kid you not!
He was easily the leanest, most conditioned guy at the Detroit Pro Show with shredded glutes and an insane back. Unfortunately the judges didn't award him the placing that many felt he deserved, but his ability to overcome injuries, physical obstacles, and mental barriers makes him a true inspiration and a great Canadian athlete.
