I've been out of the gym for over a month due to a recent move, work being hectic, the holidays, etc. Should I jump back in with a hardcore HIT routine or take it easy on the volume and intensity for a week or two to get my body used to lifting again? I figure that right now I am primed and ready for growth after such an extended break. What's the best method to get back into i and take advantage of this primed state?

ease into it. By week 4 you will be back full swing. No force reps the first 2 weeks.

Ease in for a week if you are feeling good after that week I would go hard. You only took 4 weeks off, its not like you took a year off.
