Thats what I was thinking but the only reason I reconsidered was because there are so many more games avalible right now for the xbox.

Sony will catch up as far as games go. The sony is the better machine, once you buy it you'll need a cord upgrade to get the full graghic resolution. Make sure you buy the 80g as the 40 doesnt have many of the option the 80 has.(sd slot)

Ps3 for the blu-ray but if your into gaming then a Real PC for gamer is the BEST you could buy it blows away both ps3 and xbox.

i got both and i barely play games but ps3's blu ray is one of the top players on the market, and half the cost then the other.
Not too many games i've seen that i wanted on Xbox that PS3 didn't have personally

Ya, actually mine froze about 5% of the time. Seemed to freeze on some games more than others.

all the third party developers make the games for the 360 and then cross it over to the ps3....... its easier to develop games for the 360 as well..... thats why although the ps3 has a much more powerful system the graphics are always very comparable to the 360........ it will be the SCEA that will really show what the ps3 can really do...... also having more exclusives on the xbox 360 will also separate it like halo, oblivian, gear of war, flight simulator, Age of Empires, or any other microsoft made game can and will make its way onto the 360........ you can also stream movies, music, and pictures from your computer through your tv and surround sound using windows media center......... the xbox live is fantastic the only brutal thing about it is paying $60 a year for the service...... these are reasons why i would pick the 360 over the ps3

xbox for me. Blu ray is not enough at the moment to make me choose ps3. I play at my buds house from time to time but when he comes over to mine to play, he also likes the game choices on xbox better. Plus xbox live rules.

I have the 360 and enjoy it. Good graphics, good response. Many friends have the PS3, their biggest like is the free online gaming. PS3 also has a cool controller which if your playing a flight simulator the controller is responsive to movement. Tilt the controller downwards and your plane will dive.....tilt the controller up the plane will climb. Neat idea.
