How does everyone do their ab training? Do you find using your own bodyweight for many reps work best or weighted and lower reps work better? Will your abs grow bigger and stronger with weight or will that just cause back problems.

I do crunches for my abs, with leg raises, and i don't use weights,i did in the past with a 25 pound plate for crunches, then pull something in my abs,so i dropped the weights. You can do rope pully for your abs very nice and smooth with light to moderate weight,i did 100 pounds and the cable machine that was a double pully.

I usually tri set between crunches, some sort of trunk raises and either a twisting motion or oblique crunch, i just wonder if there's anyway to make them pop out more make them look deeper hmm

I don't train abs. They get it enough from compound lifts.

you will benefit alot more from doing weighted abs its like any other muscle in the body it needs resistance.

I squeeze extra hard when i poop......
No seriously either weighted exercises with reps like normal exercises or squats and tricep push-downs and other exercises that work out abs aswell. But the secret to abs is diet, like the guys above me said.

Ahhh i have only used this machine once at a Nubody's, its great! So it seems a lot of people don't do a lot of direct ab work eh? Do you guys think you'd get the same development without doing direct work?

The only thing different than in that picture was that there was a place to put weights by your head to add resistance

This one is the newer version....if you look at the bottom, there is an option to rotate the lower piece right to left or right to work obliques.
