I need to pick up a new router for home use. The one we use now is loosing wireless connectivity way to often.

I need a router that will support my torrent use. My computers are hard wired to the router. It must have good range on the wireless to each upper floors where my wife and daughter both use wireless connections.

I also have an entertainment system that connects wireless down stairs.

The linksys I used to have had crappy UDP support. And the NETGear WNDR3300 is dropping connections enough to piss off everybody.

Or should I just dig up the linksys again and try loading a Linux router system on it?

I like both linksys and dlink. Never had a problem with either.

Hey Waderow, that new avatar of yours is just vile.

I had alot of problems with Linksys, I just got rid of my WRT160N V2 Wireless N router because it kept dropping connection, I tried everything but found it to be unstable. I bit the bullet and did some drilling through the floor and hardwired my second computer and i get no more complaints from the fam. I wouldn't buy Linksys again, go with a Dlink Wireless IMO.
