Here is a vid of me doing what i call a deadlift...here a doggybag,bring it home,chew on it.

Yeah im pissy,im pissy how fast people jump to conclusion.Wasnt trying to be a jerk but obviously people here feed on that kind of shit,i can smell it already.

I use straps cause 'drum roll'...im not strong enough yet to handle 420 for reps with me bare hands,you know,i could see that as a personal attack.

It wasn't a personal attack, it was constructive criticism. If you know that your grip sucks work on it. I can see using straps if you were rack pulling 890lbs (http://www.youtube.com/user/KYLERAYNER20#p/u/15/qkGvGccElZY) how do you expect to get better if you don't work on your weakness? Oh and PS, your drawstrings are hanging out, oh wait those are just your legs. **** OFF gearbox GOOF.

Good for you,monster strong! im no way near that level,ps,i do use my bare hands sometimes but my gym doesnt allow chalk and i dont want to use gloves.

Dude, there are lots of good exercises for building grip. use straps when doing heavy shrugs and rack pulls, try not to use them and your grip will get better. even just load up a bar and unrack it and see how long you can hold it for, next set try to beat your time. pinch 2 plates together and don't let them drop.

Yes be proud of your own accomplishments and dont down play it now because you were rodded a bit, a PR is a PR and should be celebrated because not many people in this world have the IRONWILL (no pun intended) lol, to go out there and try let alone post a vid. Just post it under your own PR thread and not somebody elses.

Thanks everyone,i feel a tad wiser! Will definitely seek out a chalk ball.
As for height,im 5,11.
I only use straps on farmers walk and deadlift(when I go heavy,on my standart ;) ) I started doing alot of hang clean for my new program,they really do a number on my wrist.
Next monday my deadlift progression should be like this:
365x3 390x3 425x3.ill try to get a better angle.

As for the legs...thats a chapter that i buried,they work,they can push hard and run fast,good enough for me! I just cant seem to put any really mass on them.

OP: Your lifting to much weight, you don't need to impress anyone on this board, your only competition should be yourself, not these flamers....

Straps are a very good tool in lifting if you want to isolate your back when your biceps are failing with the massive load that your "back Can handle" and your "Arms cannot handle".

Didn't look like he could handle the weight either. Bad angle but his back didn't look straight and he was 'legging' up the reps which isn't a very good dead lift in the end.

And any socks will do... But stinky socks work best since as you girp the bar the stench will make you wanna seperate urself as far as possible from the stench... Works just like a DL suit.
