Drawing from amps they (as in nurses) reccommend to use a needle filter since there can be some very small shards of glass in the amp after the top is broken off..

How many of you use these and where can you get them in Canada. I don't think Canadian medical supplies sells them and not sure of the pharmacies???

Is this really needed or is it overkill??

Ohh I hear ya kloan... just trying to get feedback if this is really needed. I guess almost all just pop the amp and extract the gear and than just change the needle befor injection.

yep pretty much... its funny you posted this though cuz i was actually imagining a needle with a filter built in last night when i couldnt sleep. weird.

i always inspect the bottle before i draw to look for pieces of rubber that might have fallen in. so far, nadda.

Do you think shoppers carries them.. My quess would be probably not.. But I will head today and ask...

i doubt they carry them but might order them for you if you ask nice.

if you are scared about glass buy a 10ml+ syringe.

break open all your amps and suck them into the syringe

get syringe filter for 5 bucks.

attatch syringe filter to syringe holding your solution and then attatch pin to other end of filter.

filter it into a sterile vial.

voila! no glass.

good suggestion, but really, when amps cost 30-40% more, breaking them and putting them in a vial kinda kills the whole value thing, does it not?

?? the reason why amps cost more is because they are usually pharm grade bro lol- nothing to do with them being in amps or not.

I've never even seen ugl's make amps unless they are fake pharm grade...

Anyways- a vial is like 5 bucks and same with the filter.

Putting the gear into a vial doesn't make the gear any less valuable unless op is re-selling it...

why not just save time, money and hassle and buy a vial? UF or HG, it doesnt seem worth it to invest in HG amps only to have to filter them into a vial.

Well as Troy stated, usually a lot of the HG gear are in amps not in vials. i guess all Depends what you want to use, UG or HG? If one is more comfortable with HG than one will have to deal wuth amps.
